BLUE SEAKALE EXTRACT
(Crambe maritima)
Used in our Botanical Shine™ Conditioners for its protective properties, we hand-harvest our blue seakale from sustainable plantations in Brittany, France, where the cabbage-like leaves of the plant are dried then extracted to create our antioxidant-rich ingredient.
KALAHARI MELON OIL
(Citrullus lanatus)
Featuring excellent emollient and nourishing properties, we source our Kalahari melon from the Kalahari Desert, where the pure oil is cold-pressed from the protein-rich dark brown seeds.
APPLE FRUIT EXTRACT
(Pyrus malus x domestica)
Used for its ability to promote shine, we source our apples from France, where the vitamin-rich flesh of Idared, Granny Smith and Golden Delicious apples are mechanically pressed to create our extract.
MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL
(Limnanthes alba)
With each seed harbouring 20-30% pure plant oil, meadowfoam is renowned for its excellent moisturising properties. We source our meadowfoam from a cooperative of farmers in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, USA, where the fields take on the appearance of a mass of sweetly-scented white foam when in bloom. To obtain our GLA and antioxidant-rich oil, the shiny brown seeds of the flower are pressed.

Leaves my hair feeling heavy
I have been using the conditioner for a while but I have recently found that it has become increasingly difficult to wash out and leaves my hair feeling heavy and greasy. Has the formula been changed?
It smells lovely but is now too heavy for my normal hair.

Fantastic conditioner
I have been using the Liz earle conditioners since they launched and love the fact they are silicone free and do not weigh my hair down. A little product goes a very long way. I use mid lengths to ends and just recently have had many compliments on my hair. I have not coloured my hair for seven months now and find the daily moisture conditioner is just right for my hair. I have used and enjoyed the richer conditioner in the past when my hair was being coloured regularly. WhT I love most is the amazing shine and bounce I get after use, will not use anything else apart from the lovely Liz earle shampoo and condioner

Not changed for the better
I have used LizEarle shampoo and conditioner for many years - both products were superb and I was delighted that I could continue to order after I moved to the US. I really oved both products! When I last needed to re-order, I noticed that both products had been reformulated, to many many many consistent negative reviews for the shampoo. I was able to buy up several tubes of the original shampoo, but the original conditioner wasn't available, so I tried a tube of the new stuff. It's such a disappointment. Very heavy, doesn't rinse properly, leaves my hair feeling waxy and that I need to wash more often. No good for the occasional co-wash, as the original product was. The tube is gathering dust in the bathroom cupboard, and I won't buy again. Am trying out alternatives, and will certainly not try the new shampoo.

Poor replacement product
I've been using Liz Earle shampoo and conditioner for at least 10yrs and have encouraged lots of friends to try the brand as I had such faith in the products. Recently I noticed my hair condition isn't as good as it was the ends are dry and frizzy, despite my usual regime. I thought it was a natural part of ageing, until I found an unopened bottle of the original Liz Earle condition. Wow what a transformation, my hair is shiny smooth and sleek again. I also had to reduce the amount of product I was using. I hadn't realised until now how poor the new formulation was. I always assumed companies changed product formula to improve results, not take all the good stuff out. I certainly won't be recommending Liz Earle conditioner now, and I'll be looking for a replacement for myself. I like to use the same brand shampoo and conditioner, so sadly I'll be ditching the Liz Earle brand. I'm really sad a good product has fallen victim to redesign, I can only assume it has become too expensive to manufacture. I'd rather pay more for a product that works.

Change for the worse
I have used the botanical shampoo since it was introduced, I absolutely loved it and never used anything else. The new formula is very odd, as soon as it is applied it matts the hair together to the extent that you cannot get your fingers through your hair. I have to use more conditioner than I would like to detangle it, which is leaving my hair feeling flat and lifeless. Sadly another Liz Earle change of formula which means I need to look for an alternative brand. I will be returning the additional bottle I bought.

Fabulous conditioner, great smell
Lost my hair following chemo and this conditioner is the only one I use on my new hair. My hair looks shiny and healthy and it doesn’t feel heavy or look greasy the way it can with other conditioners.

Mixed feelings!
I like the daily moisture conditioner, I’ve been using it for a while now. I also bought the shampoo, they work really well together. Sadly Liz Earle decided not to include a free sample of anything because I’d bought the items on offer together as a deal, so only 4 stars

This is the only conditioner I can use as I have a very sensitive scalp. My inflamed, flaky and itchy scalp disappeared after using this conditioner and the Liz Earle shampoo. I wouldn’t and couldn’t use any other products.

Liz Earl shampoo and conditioner
Been using the shampoo and conditioner for years and love them both . I recently ran out and used a different shampoo and conditioner, my hair immediately felt unclean and dull . After about a month I bought my usual Liz Earl shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels clean shiny again , I won’t be running out again .

This must be the best hair conditioner I’ve ever used. Only a small amount leaves my hair soft and really shiny. I use it with the botanical shine shampoo and replace it every couple of weeks with the hair mask. The smell is devine and a little goes a long way!

Best conditioner
I always use this conditioner since I found out about it. I have fine curly hair and it really leaves my hair soft with no stripping of oils, and it doesn't leave in, any product that drags the curls down. I feel it does my hair good, as I like to look after my hair to preserve it. In fact when I go swimming, I put quite a bit of conditioner through it before I swim to try prevent any damage from the chlorine!

Too good.
This is the only shampoo and conditioner I can use now. I keep trying to buy cheaper alternatives but always come back because it’s SO good. My hair feels shiny and soft but really clean. Other products are either too drying or leave a build up. This is just perfect. Buy it.

I have fine greasy hair have you discontinued the conditioner for it?

Sadly, our Botanical Shine Conditioner for fine to oily hair, no longer proved popular with our customers, so we made the difficult decision to discontinue this.
Our Botanical Shine Daily Moisture Conditioner is suitable for all hair types however, for those that have oily or fine hair, we would suggest using a little less product and concentrate mainly on the ends.
If you purchased our Botanical Shine Daily Moisture Conditioner with us direct, we do have a generous 60 day returns policy, should you find this unsuitable and wish to return the product to us for a refund.

I see that you have now changed the hair conditioners… 😥 I used to buy conditioner for normal hair. Now I see both conditioners have the option for normal hair, which is very confusing. Which conditioner should I buy to match the old one?

We are on a journey to improve the sustainability of our packaging, and you may have noticed some recent changes throughout the range. We are pleased to advise that our new look tubes within our Botanical Shine Hair Care range are now fully recyclable and made using 55% recycled materials. We hope you enjoy the beautiful new purple colour too.
Some ingredients within the formulation have been updated due to a change in regulations, however, these changes are like for like and so the colour, texture, fragrance, and of course, the benefits have remained the same.
We have also taken the opportunity to change the name of our Botanical Shine Conditioners at this time too, and can advise that our Normal Conditioner is now called our ‘Botanical Shine Daily Moisture Conditioner.’
