Disappointing
This is the first time I have tried the new formula shampoo and I am so disappointed. No lather and my hair felt like straw whilst attempting to wash it. The conditionee is excellent and went some way to rescue the situation. Have used Liz Earle shampoo for years but sadly will now have to find an alternative.

Fresh and smooth
I've been wanting to try this for long time and so happy that I finally purchased it. It leaves my hair super silky and smelling fresh for days. I myself have quite dry, unruly hair and this has completely changed the game! On the whole a brill product would recommend to anyone!

No longer a revelation!
I loved the previous shampoo version but, sadly, not this one☹️ The smell was lovely and the old formula suited my hair. Just ordinary now. Strangely, the conditioner is okay.

Im missing the old formula
I have been buying this brand since last year , it was good for my hair and scalp and maintained my colour well. however the change to the new ingredient has left my hair feeling drier than normal

Very disappointed
The shampoo leaves my hair like straw and the conditioner whilst usable is not a patch on the previous product. I was able to do a direct comparison as had some of the old product left. I have used both shampoo and conditioner for years without problems but will now be looking for an alternative.

I’ve been using the original formula since it’s launch and my hairdresser always complimented the on condition of my hair. Since using the new formula my hair has lost shine and become dry. Very disappointed after all these years. Now off to find a new brand after years with Liz Earle.

Disappointed
Disappointed with the new formula shampoo having been a regular user for many years. It does not lather very well at first but this can be overcome by adding more water. However, have found I have to be very careful so as not to end up with my hair in a a tangled
mess. The conditioner is an essential step to smooth it out again. Unfortunately won’t be buying again unless the formula changes back to the original.

Lovely hair
Have only recently starting using products from the haircare range. Wanted a change, the shampoo lathers easy just add more water and leaves the hair really soft. The conditioner smells lovely and is easy to apply, the smell lingers for hours after. I'm using these after elastisizer from Phillip Kingsley.

Change of formula??
I bought my usual quota of shampoo and conditioner last month only to be surprised and extremely disappointed to find that the formula for the shampoo has changed (was this advertised on the website? I am not sure that it was) this new formula for the shampoo does not suit my hair type at all, leaving it flat and completely lifeless, with no shape or fullness after blow drying.
Had I known the formula had been changed I wouldn’t have bought two lots I would have bought one to see how it went.

Nice scent

Elixir for my very dry locks
I have used the shampoo and dry hair conditioner duo (new packaging now) for some years, it leaves my very dry hair soft and glossy. And I like the fact that the shampoo is more like a nourishing cleanser (no huge lather) and SLS free.

Shampoo has changed!
I’ve used Liz Earle shampoo for at least 7 years and absolutely loved it but have been really disappointed by the new shampoo. It doesn’t clean as well and doesn’t feel nice in my hair. I’ll be looking for a new shampoo. A shame as I bought 3 tubes!

I was unaware that the shampoo has changed - it was previously a soft opaque consistency as far as I can recall. It was also a shampoo I would go back to for my scalp irritation. Now it is a clear gel which I have struggled to use as it seems to make my fairly wavy hair knot up whilst trying to wash it. I also do not think it is helping my scalp. I will not purchase again.

Which conditioner is suitable for very fine hair?

We would recommend our Botanical Shine Daily Moisture Conditioner. This will Nourish and hydrate, to reveal glossy, healthy looking hair.
For those with fine to oily hair, we would recommend using a little less product and to concentrate on the ends rather than the roots so this does not weight the hair down.

Is there any silicons in the shampoo as my hairdresser has said that is what’s making my hair weighed down after a perm on my bob haircut, I use your shampoo and conditioner and hair oil as I thought they didn’t have any silicone in them. Love the product

We can confirm that our Botanical Shine Shampoo and Conditioners are free from silicon however, our Botanical Shine Hair Oil does contain silicon.
We tried a variety of natural alternatives to silicone when formulating the Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil – in total we considered over 50 formulations – but silicone gave the best performance in terms of smoothing, heat-protection and shine-promotion, all of which are important properties in a finishing product such as our Hair Oil.
