Shampoo not so great, conditioner excellent
I have used these products for years and was always happy with them. However the shampoo is not as good as it was before they changed it, it is less creamy than before. If it wasn't for loving the conditioner, I wouldn't buy it anymore :(

Very disappointed
I bought this as I thoughts as I have lots of other Liz Earle products I would try this.
It made my hair feel like straw . All other products I have loved so I was not happy. I shall be returning them .

Gentle champu with nice smell
This is a nice clear champu with a lovely smell. It foams quite well, although not too much, which I think it's good. My hair looks nice. I always use conditioners anyway.

Conditioner ok, Shampoo not great
Was looking forward to trying Liz Earle hair products. Sadly the shampoo did not suit my hair. It left a plasticky residue and felt very harsh. The conditioner was better quality although not over keen on the smell. Sad to leave a negative review as other body/face products have been lovely.

Not as good as it used to be
I've used the Liz Earle shampoo and conditioner for years and have always loved them but can't get on with the new formula of the shampoo, unfortunately. I find it too thick so have to try water it down in my hand to use. It has also mad my scalp itchy, which I've never experienced before.

I have always used this shampoo and it was great. The change in formula has been disastrous for my hair It's flyaway and won't style properly. I'm stuck with two tubes I can't use. The conditioner is still good. Won't buy again

Disappointed with shampoo
Having used the shampoo for a number of years, I was disappointed with the new formula, which I realise changed due to being unable to source a particular ingredient. My hair felt sticky and it was difficult to wash. The conditioner seemed nice and light. I will probably not buy this again.

I love this duo.
Unfortunately the packaging is not 100% user friendly. As you get to 2/3 down in the bottle it is v difficult to get the rest out so feels like you don’t get full value.

Not impressed.
As a swimming instructor I found that botanical shine shampoo helped remove the chlorine and kept my hair in good condition but since you’ve changed the formula, it no longer does this. It doesn’t lather properly, even with using more water instead of product, my hair feels straw like and in this heat, it is back to being frizzy and feels very dry, even though I am using the conditioner for dry damaged hair. Luckily I still have some of the old formula which I can use whilst looking for something else.

Great shampoo and conditioner
Easy to use. Keeps hair in great condition, must use the treatment as well. Helps to kee in good condition.
Please note when you think you have finished cut top off, then scrape, the bottom as always some left not to squeeze out!!.

I bought this as I have dry menopausal hair and have tried so many products.The shampoo is lovely and you only need a small amount.
I loved the smell of the conditioner but it could be a little denser as I had to use quite a bit .
My hair was so soft and shiny, I will be purchasing this again

Not the same anymore!
Purchased this on 28th March. I had the old shampoo formula & this was first the first time using new one. Really not good it is now clear & sort of thick lathers even less & made my hair so hard & tangly while washing. It was awful I don’t know why the formula has changed. I have been using for years but now I won’t be using anymore. The conditioner has changed too. After using both for many years the product doesn’t feel like it is moisturising.

It's different
Have used the shampoo for years. This one has changed. It's now clear, thicker, no nice natural scent and doesn't lather up as easily. What's happening? I will see how my hair likes it over the next few weeks. 😞

Great shine but too drying for my hair
I love the smell of both the shampoo and conditioner. Easy enough to squeeze out in the shower. Excellent conditioner, leaves hair feeling silky and nourished. I don't like the shampoo though, it was difficult to shampoo the scalp as it immediately matted my hair. The conditioner fixed the matted hair afterwards but I'd rather use a shampoo that didn't feel so drying. I've used the conditioner with other shampoos and lovely shiny results each time. For reference my hair is naturally curly, prone to frizz, shoulder length and coloured.

My hair feels, smells and looks great with the Duo
I got this shampoo and conditioner as a Xmas present and I loved it so much I bought some more once it was finished but the new formula is quite different-It is very hard to get out of the bottle and doesn’t lather as well. The shampoo also seems to leak out if the bottle when left opening end down which is strange as I have to squeeze the bottle so hard when I want to actually use some??!! Hopefully next time the old formula ingredients will be back as I do love it!!

I have been using this product for about 10 years now. However, the formula for the shampoo has changed and noticeably so. I feel it is not cleaning my hair as thoroughly or leaving it as shiny. The conditioner was also damaged (broken at the top) when it arrived

Which conditioner is suitable for very fine hair?

We would recommend our Botanical Shine Daily Moisture Conditioner. This will Nourish and hydrate, to reveal glossy, healthy looking hair.
For those with fine to oily hair, we would recommend using a little less product and to concentrate on the ends rather than the roots so this does not weight the hair down.

Is there any silicons in the shampoo as my hairdresser has said that is what’s making my hair weighed down after a perm on my bob haircut, I use your shampoo and conditioner and hair oil as I thought they didn’t have any silicone in them. Love the product

We can confirm that our Botanical Shine Shampoo and Conditioners are free from silicon however, our Botanical Shine Hair Oil does contain silicon.
We tried a variety of natural alternatives to silicone when formulating the Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil – in total we considered over 50 formulations – but silicone gave the best performance in terms of smoothing, heat-protection and shine-promotion, all of which are important properties in a finishing product such as our Hair Oil.
