BRITISH SILVER BIRCH WATER
(Betula pendula)
Silver birch is one of only 2 types of tree that are native to Britian. Our Silver Birch sap is collected or 'tapped' by hand, in the traditional, sustainable way during a brief moment in early spring, when the sap is rising. Approximately 5 litres are gathered from each tree; the tree produces around 200 litres a day, so the collection process has no impact on the vigour of the tree, and the tree is left ready to burst into leaf. This project is led by a husband and wife team who are both qualified environmentalists, one in forestry and the other in environmental protection. The birch project helps to finance these sustainable woodlands.
GIANT HYSSOP
(Agastache Foeniculum)
Giant hyssop is used for its ability to calm and reduce the effects of stress on the skin. Our Giant hyssop is produced by a project in Mexico. This project is a cooperation with the University of Querétaro (México) to preserve biodiversity and aid women in the local community.

Nice product but didn't address my concern
I tried this product to see if it improved my couperose skin (redness due to dilated blood vessels which don't disappear). I've used a whole bottle now, directly onto the skin rather than mixed with moisturiser. In short it didn't make a difference, but I could imagine it would help surface sensitivity. The texture is cooling and absorbed quickly, and certainly didn't do any harm. My search for help for couperose skin continues!

Instantly reduced redness
I picked these drops up with the Skin Repair rich cream.
In honesty, the Skin Repair type was an error on my part, however it turned out to be a 'happy accident', as that combination of moisturiser and drops I have found to be just brilliant!
The moisturiser you don't need too much of, and the result of applying that with two drops of oil left my skin fully refreshed, with no redness at all. The added bonus was how soft to the touch it stayed for many hours after!
I really do very highly recommend this combination!

Great and would recommend
I have been suffering with breakouts and what looks like rosacea . I have been using a drop directly on my skin each morning and night. These drops have calmed my skin completely. The drops are light but nourish my dry and sensitive skin.

Fabulous product
Over the years I have come to trust Liz Earle products, and although these Calming drops are more than I would generally pay, my skin recently has been feeling very sensitive, red and dry, so I decided to give it a go.
It has worked wonders on my skin, I feel that the drops are working gently and effectively on red areas, cheeks especially.

Only thing i use!
After my 3 step routine I love adding my botanical drops and my skin has never felt so relieved! I have very sensitive skin and nothing works for me until I found Liz Earl and then when they produced these drops for different skin types the calming ones were calling my name! I’ve been using it a week now and I’ll never look back!

Loving this does exactly what it says my skin is so soft and has a luxurious feel to it . Been using it for 2 weeks and noticing a difference . I also have sesnsitive skin and it is very calming on my skin . 5/5 from me

Disappointed
I adore Liz Earle products however this fell a little flat for me. Having chosen the “calming” drops, I had expected there to be a lovely lavender calming scent. It didn’t smell of anything. It also soaks into the skin a little too well and actually left my skin feeling a little parched still. Perhaps it is more suited to someone with younger skin. It just felt like it was a lot of money for a product that didn’t really do anything.

Better than expected
My complexion has been feeling very stressed lately - tight, hot, burning, not happy at all - and this seemed like it might be just the thing to help calm it down. It's a very non-oily oil, but quite thick so you only need a couple of drops. It absorbs quickly and feels instantly soothing, giving a nice base for my moisturiser. It has really helped to calm the tightness and burning sensation across my cheekbones and reduced the feeling of redness and stress. It's certainly better than a lot of other things I've tried over the years, so it's a relief to know there's something out there that does make a difference. Thank you Liz Earle!

I'm allergic to birch tree pollen... Is this product likely to cause me irritation?
