COCOA BUTTER
(Theobroma cacao)
Famous for its excellent emollient properties, we source our cocoa butter from West Africa, where fermented beans of the cocoa tree are roasted, cracked and ground to give a powdery solid called cocoa mass, from which cocoa butter is pressed.
ROSEMARY EXTRACT
(Rosmarinus officinalis)
Used for its antioxidant properties, we source our rosemary from Spain, where the extract is filtered from the needle-shaped leaves of the plant.
CHAMOMILE EXTRACT
(Anthemis nobilis)
Legendary for its skin-soothing properties, the flowers of this aromatic perennial are harvested in England in the summer, before the ingredient is solvent extracted from the fragrant flower.
EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL
(Eucalyptus globulus)
Renowned for its purifying properties and invigorating aroma, we source our eucalyptus from China, where our essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the fast-growing eucalyptus tree.

Easy to use and feels lovely on my skin
My daughter has used it for years but I didn't bother as I wear very little make up. I was
buying one as a gift for a friend who also uses it and as I am now in my eighties I thought I might as well give it a try. I am now on my fourth day and I must say that I can feel a difference already in fact I may just put it down on my Christmas list. (my daughter will be pleased)

Wonderful cleanser, even for lady in her 70s!
I’ve always looked after my skin and still wear make up and a good SPF underneath. The hot cloth cleanser melts it all away at the end of the day and is so comforting to use. I don’t have to mess with irritating cotton pads and this cleanser keeps me free of milia. Will always buy this.

Does it matter if I soak the cloth into a cold water instead of hot??

We recommend using warm water when cleaning, rather than very hot or very cold water as these two extremes can irritate the skin.

Have you recently changed the formula in any way? I've been using this for years and have recently noticed it's not as creamy as before, plus the fragrance doesn't seem as strong
I've also been using the Cleanse & Polish for a great number of years and have noticed that it does not seem to be cleansing my skin like it has done in the past even though I am still using it twice a day. I am really disappointed as I have sung its praises to many people over the years and had always been pleased with it until recently. Why mess with an award winning product?

We are on a journey to improve the sustainability of our packaging, and pump packs present more of a technical challenge for finding an easily recyclable solution that can also work with our formula safely. We have been continuing to look into this issue with our suppliers, however, we hope our customers will enjoy getting all the same Cleanse & Polish™ benefits from purchasing our eco-conscious tubes, which are not only recyclable, but also made using 55% post-consumer recycled materials.
Whilst there are currently no plans to discontinue our Cleanse & Polish in the pumps, we have made the decision to no longer sell our Starter Kits with the cloths in the pump dispenser in the hope, that more of our customers will choose to purchase our fully recyclable 100ml Tube Starter Kit which comes with two cloths.

In this hot weather can you use cold water instead of hot, does it still give same benefits

Once our Cleanse & Polish has been removed with the pure cotton cloth, you can then rinse your skin in cold or warm water however, we would not recommend using extreme hot or cold water on the skin as this may cause some redness or sensitivity.

Hi. My ten year old has just started to get slightly congested/blackheads around her nose area. She is very young and only uses water. Would it be ok to use c&p a few times a week or once daily to cleanse her skin? Her skin type is normal.

Use it every morning and evening. It is wonderful, gentle and removes all makeup at night and wakens the skin in the morning. It does it all!

We're sorry to hear that your skin feels dry after using our Cleanse & Polish. If your skin is feeling particularly dry or a little unbalanced, we'd recommend our Probiotic Milk Cleanser. Our Probiotic range will protect and strengthen skin`s natural moisture barrier to prevent water loss through the day/night for velvet soft, deeply hydrated and balanced skin. This can be used continuously, or when you feel that the condition of your skin has improved, you can try returning to our Cleanse & Polish.
