When used in the morning, it visibly revitalises tired-feeling eyes, helping you feel awakened and ready to face the day. When used in the evening, it gently removes final traces of eye make up, while soothing and hydrating the delicate eye area.

 

This light, non-oily herbal formula is powered by eyebright extract – renowned for its soothing properties - as well as cooling cornflower, hydrating aloe vera and toning witch hazel.

Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.

Cornflower

CORNFLOWER EXTRACT
(Centaurea cyanus)

Used for its soothing and cooling properties, we source our cornflower from Europe, where we extract our ingredient from the rich blue flowers of the plant.

Eyebright

EYEBRIGHT EXTRACT
(Euphrasia officinalis)

Legendary for its soothing and refreshing properties, and rich in tannins, flavonoids and glycosides, our eyebright is harvested in Bulgaria, where the aerial parts of the plant are macerated in water for 7 days to create our extract.

Witch Hazel

WITCH HAZEL WATER
(Hamamelis virginiana)

Legendary for its soothing and toning properties, witch hazel is native to the eastern coast of North America, and our witch hazel water is distilled from the chopped, macerated leaves of the flowering shrub.

Tired eyes just put cotton wool pads with Eyebright on leave and you are as good as new. So soothing for irritated eyes and of course removes eye make up. I keep mine in the fridge so nicely chilled its even better.

Why did you have to change a brilliant winning formula for something that is clearly different and inferior, despite all your protestations that it’s the same product. I hope it’s worth losing your old customers for a very poor update!

Hi, thanks for getting in touch! We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser. We can confirm that this product still contains the same key ingredients, which are included at the same levels. However, we made the decision to remove the PEGs (which stablise the formulation) as we are aware that some customers prefer to avoid these. This has been replaced with a milder, more gentle alternative. I would like to assure you that we value all feedback, favourable or otherwise, as it helps us to maintain our high level of customer service and satisfaction. Comments from customers really help us when considering future improvements, so I will certainly pass on your comments to our Formulations team for future consideration. Would I use this product before or after my Hot Cloth cleanser Polish?

As our Cleanse & Polish is gentle enough to use on the eye area, we would recommend using this first, then follow with our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser, as this will gently cleanse, refresh and soothe your eyes. If you're using this for the first time, as with all our products, we would recommend that you carry out a patch test first. Is this the same as the eye bright lotion?

Hello, thank you for getting in touch. We can confirm that we made the decision to update the name of our Eye Bright because, while our existing customers understand how to use the formula, we felt this name (Eye Bright Soothing Eye lotion) may be confusing for those that are new to the brand, as this product does not have a typical ‘lotion’ texture. We therefore decided that calling this a soothing cleanser was more true to multi-functional benefits of our product, which is that it both cleanses, but also provides soothing relief to tired eyes, making it a perfect partner for both AM and PM use. We can confirm that we have removed PEGs in order to improve the formulation and ensure product integrity standards compliance, and replaced them with a more gentle alternative. While this change will make the formulation gentler for the majority of customers, there is a small chance that some customers may find that the old version was more suitable for their particular skin.
