Pro-Biotic Milk Cleanser
CHICORY
(Cichorium intybus)
Sustainably grown on an organic farm in France, chicory is a natural prebiotic with skin-soothing properties. It has been used as a traditional herbal remedy for both skin and digestive health for hundreds of years.
JOJOBA OIL
(Simmondsia chinensis)
One of the skin’s most naturally compatible oils, jojoba promotes a healthy-looking glow without clogging pores. The jojoba shrub we source is native to the Sonoran Desert in the US, and Patagonian Desert in Argentina.
LUNARIA
(Lunaria annua)
Lunaria oil is naturally rich in skin-compatible fatty acids, and is known to nourish and provide long-lasting hydration. Our lunaria is grown on 2 farms in Lincolnshire & Essex and is recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society for benefitting local insect populations.
FERMENTED OATS
(Avena sativa)
Sustainably grown in Sweden and Finland, the oats we use are specially selected for their higher levels of Beta Glucan, a fibre known to help soothe and improve the appearance of skin. Our oats are fermented to produce a unique strain of Lactobacillus (friendly bacteria).

Very soothing for sensitive skin
I was previously suffering with inflamed, broken-out patches after trying new products (my previous cleanser had been discontinued). Then I switched to Liz Earle three weeks ago after my facialist suggested a probiotic cleanser and I am pleased I did - my skin is a lot calmer, smoother, less red and reactive. I am using it with the probiotic day cream also.

Great cleanser for sensitive combination skin
This cleanser, and the pro-biotic face cream, have done a lot to soothe my skin, which is very sensitive and prone to mild eczema patches (as well as an oily t-zone). After trying a number of new products which aggravated my skin, this cleanser has helped my skin to feel comfortable, and reduced redness!

Not for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given a free sample of this poduct in Boots.
Unfortunately it stung my eyes and left my skin feeling tight and so itchy.
I have rosacea and eczema, so my skin is very reactive. I can't even use cleanse and polish now.
Back to the medicinal cleansers!

Love this Cleanser!
I bought this to try out instead of the green clean and polish one and I love it! It's more of a liquid than a cream which I prefer and it does a great job and leaves my skin feeling moist and soft.

Gentle and calming
I love using this cleanser it's very gentle smells kind of oaty not unpleasant. It really does calm irritated skin I have oily sensitive skin with large pores which were becoming more noticeable with age. I have tried so many brands but I am so glad Liz Earle has developed this range I am impressed with the results after a few short weeks !

Amazing for perioral dermatitis
I have been struggling with perioral dermatitis everything I used was flaring my skin up! This has helped repair and restore the skin I’m so pleased I’ve found something that’s helped! Stings the skin
This stings my skin when I use it, my skin has become irritated as a result. I persisted using it thinking it must just be the probiotics active ingredient, but I’ve had to stop. I’ve used Liz Earle products for years without any issues at all!

Unpleasant smell-HOORAY!!
I have been suffering with reality bad super sensitive and reactive skin for almost a year and have tried very many so claimed "sensitive skin" products.
Massive Congratulations to Liz Earle team for not adding any unwanted and unnecessary fragrance to this game changing cleanser.
After day 4 the angry red bumpy triangles on my cheeks were a normal colour and the bumps ,significantly improving.
It is now day 7 and the worst of the bumps initially darkened and are almost drying out and flaking away and my unaffected skin looks an feels amazing.
I must say I do not like the smell ,but the benefits to my skin far outweighs this.
If anyone is considering not buying this product because of the comments about the smell please don't be put off , to me it is a really positive sign of a truly gentle but hard working product. Love Love Love it!

Lovely gentle cleanser
Originally tried a tester of this for my rosacea / sensitive skin and it is a perfect non-irritating creamy cleanser that leaves my skin feeling nourished and gentle eye make-up remover. The cica paste also works really well as a pairing to shield skin against winter cold!

Calmer Skin
My skin has deteriorated a lot this year (I've just turned 40). I developed mild rosacea and my skin doesn’t seem to tolerate anything. I am allergic and intolerant to many foods and drink (including alcohol). I have always used ‘clean’ skincare but it was no longer working for me. I stumbled across this and decided to give it a go and I’m so glad I did! What a difference it has made in just two weeks. My skin is so much calmer and looks and feels lovely. The rosacea hasn’t gone but it’s certainly calmed down. The smell of the cleanser doesn’t offend me at all - it’s a lovely mild oaty smell. I’ve just bought the day and night cream, and I really hope I can tolerate them too.

I usually love Liz Earle skincare but this did not agree with my skin at all. I had a bad breakout of acne using this cleanser and I wasn’t keen on the smell. It smelled like raw potatoes.

Gentle cleansing
I have mild rosacea so have to be careful what I use on my face. Most things cause irritation and for a long time the only thing that didn’t cause redness was a mid-price French brand. However, they didn’t have the right ethicsl credentials so I had to look for something else. This cleanser is very gentle, doesn’t irritate my skin or make it feel tight or dry. A little goes a long way: I use it every day to wash my face and the tube is still going a month and a half later. I am delighted to have found a replacement for my previous brand that has the all-important Leaping Bunny accreditation. I would definitely recommend.

Can I apply this and remove it with cotton pads only? Water irrates my face :(

We would recommend removing our Pro-Biotic Balancing Milk Cleanser with warm water. Alternatively, this can be removed by soaking a cotton pad in water and gently removing this from the skin. This will not be removed effectively if you use a dry cotton pad.

Can this cleanser be removed with toner rather than rinsing with warm water, as i feel you need a spotless sink and towel, also I find water very drying. I have ordered it anyway with the toner

Is this cleanser suitable for oily skin?

When we formulated our Pro-Biotic Range, we had those with quite reactive or sensitive skin types in mind. However, these products are suitable for all skin types. This cleanser will effortlessly remove impurities and make up, effectively cleansing without stripping skin`s goodness. Protecting and strengthening skin`s moisture barrier for visibly healthier skin.
All our formulations are made as mild and gentle as possible, so our products can be used by those with even the most sensitive skin. However, as everyone's skin is so very different, what may be suitable for some, may not be suitable for others - so we always stress the importance of patch testing.

Do the hot cloth cleansers or toner contain linalool either in pure state or as part of plant oil?

My daughter is 10yrs old suffers with eczema and has spots on her face would this product be suitable??
Personally I think it would be fine. I’ve found this to be a very gentle cleanser. It doesn’t strip my skin or make it dry and I have very sensitive skin. Whilst it may not cure your daughter’s eczema, it could calm it. All good wishes for it to settle down.

Is it ok to remove with just the Muslin cloth

Is this any good for rosacea?

We would always recommend that if you have a specific concern such as rosacea you talk to your Doctor or Dermatologist, however, the range has also been tested on, and found to be suitable for rosacea-prone skin.
