CHICORY
(Cichorium intybus)
Sustainably grown on an organic farm in France, chicory is a natural prebiotic with skin-soothing properties. It has been used as a traditional herbal remedy for both skin and digestive health for hundreds of years.
JOJOBA OIL
(Simmondsia chinensis)
One of the skin’s most naturally compatible oils, jojoba promotes a healthy-looking glow without clogging pores. The jojoba shrub we source is native to the Sonoran Desert in the US, and Patagonian Desert in Argentina.
LUNARIA
(Lunaria annua)
Lunaria oil is naturally rich in skin-compatible fatty acids, and is known to nourish and provide long-lasting hydration. Our lunaria is grown on 2 farms in Lincolnshire & Essex and is recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society for benefitting local insect populations.

Disappointed
Have used Liz Earle for over 20 years and it’s been my go to for cleanse tone and moisturise, infact wouldn’t use anything else!!
I was disappointed with the Probiotic balancing cream. It was very thin, tinted and left crease marks and didn’t feel like a moisturiser which is what I thought I’d ordered as my normal moisturiser did not seem to be available. Not a fan-sorry. Never been disappointed with a Liz Earle product before

Feels nice
I bought this and have used it for a week. It feels nice on my skin although I don't like the smell. Very musty and oaty which it did say in previous reviews but really does feel a bit too mother earth for me. Almost smells dirty.

Not keen
I thought I would try this instead of my usual skin repair. Very disappointed it’s appears to sit on top of the skin when first applied and my skin doesn’t feel hydrated afterwards. Will be going back to my usual Liz Earle moisturiser.

Love the smell!
I have been using this for a while, i previously used a another companies Vitamin E product but i am now switching to this.
I actually love the smell, i think it smells of oats & cocoa, comforting.
it also makes my skin feel really soft without feeling greasy or heavy.
Plus its Vegan!

Pro-Biotic day and night cream
I really like these products. I did not like the skin repair when it was modified so this was a welcome addition. It sinks into the skin beautifully.
A suggestion: can this be put into a jar and made bigger? The bottles do not last long and I have to cut the ends off them in order to get to a reasonable amount that has become stuck around the base. It would be very wasteful if I did not do this.

Soft skin
I bought this 2 weeks ago on first application my skin tingled for a few minutes after but that soon passes. I like the results so far it has calmed my red blotchy skin and my dry patches have gone and it leaves my skin soft all day.

Wouldn't buy this again
I have tried this cream only once and had a burning sensation an hour later and my face was all blotchy - washed it off immediately.
Very expensive way to find that a cream which says it's ultra gentle is not so for me!

Good cream but not a nice smell
There are lots of positives to this cream, its lightweight, it absorbs very quickly, it doesnt leave a residue and it's super sensitive. However it smells a bit odd, but you only notice this for about a minute!

Weird smell
Wow mixed bag with this product. It’s natural and so nice smoothe and silky on your skin. My skin instantly felt more moisturised following using it . My make up went on beautifully after applying too but it’s the smell I just don’t like it’s like a cross between oats and nuts . It does fade but quite strong for 10 mins at least .

Another great product
I bought this moisturiser because it was in a squeezy bottle, which I think makes it easier for me to gauage how much I'm putting on. I also prefer not to be dipping my fingers in and scraping off excess back into the pot.
It spreads really well and absorbs nicely into my skin, leaving it hydrated but not greasy. The smell is fairly neutral, not unpleasant but also not fragranced. If I had the option, I'd probably prefer a light scent to it, but it's not really a problem.
My skin tends to react easily but I've not had any problem with this cream and I've been using it for well over a week. It doesn't sting my eyes if I spread it too close either, which lower quality moisturisers definitely do!
I'd say it's a bit richer than the light skin repair cream, but that actually works really well for me, especially after exfoliating or being outside for longer periods.
Overall I am really pleased. Another good purchase!

Men can use this too
I'm new to using moisturising products as I'm a relatively old fashioned man but since starting a new job working with cement, my skin (especially hands) is very dry. Starting using this cream and everytime I wake up the next morning there is a good difference. A little goes a long way, it seems nice and isn't too greasy feeling. I've used it when I began peeling due to sunburn too and it worked a treat.

Lovely consistency
I bought this Day Cream about 6 weeks ago. A small amount goes a long way and soaks in really well leaving my skin soft. The only reason I gave it 4 stars would be the slight strange smell when you first put it on but this fades extremely quickly and doesn't return. Love Liz Earle products - have tried others but always return to Liz Earle.

Not very hydrating
So I’ve been wearing this moisturiser for about two weeks now and it’s not very hydrating. I feel like I have to top up my moisturiser during the day whereas before I didn’t have to do this.
The small amount of product does go a long way however it doesn’t leave skin feeling soft and smooth. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be buying it again.

Great Cream
I really love this cream. It's very light and makes my skin feel refreshed. It rubs in easily and you only need a small amount, which means it lasts for ages. It's not heavily scented too so is fresh but not overpowering. I'll definitely be using it a lot more in future and looking at what else in the range I can switch to.

I quite like this cream, it's really light and sinks into the skin effortlessly. My skin looks brighter and more radiant since I started using it. I've found that a little goes a long way, which is a good bonus, so I feel this product wood last a good few months. I'd recommend this cream, it does what it says!

Soft, nourished skin with no breakouts.
This face cream has made my skin feel lovely and soft.
It is quite rich and you don’t need a lot. It feels like it’s going to leave my face greasy at first, but then it soaks in after 5 minutes or so. It should last a long time. I use a pea - sized amount each day.
Sits well under my light makeup. I’m not sure if it would feel a bit heavy under a thick foundation though.
It is super gentle on sensitive skin. I have not had one zit since I have used this and I do normally get the old one or two.
It smells kind of like an earthy, nutty oat smell. I am used to light, fresh fragrances and wasn’t over keen on this at first, however I soon got used to it and the smell wears off really fast.
The bottle feels well made and the lid is easy to open and close, even with damp hands from the shower.
Once you get past the odd smell, I really think the benefits of this moisturiser outweigh that, and for that reason this one gets a thumbs up from me.

Lovely cream that helps rebalance the skin on the face. I have used it for a while and my skin feels and looks a lot better. A little goes a long way. Used for daytime it allowed me to moisturise dry areas without being greasy.

I really like this cream. It feels great on my skin leaving my face feeling soft and hydrated. It made short work of my dry skin from the cold winter. It also doesn’t leave a greasy feeling after using. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new day cream

Hydrating day cream
Although this day cream does feel hydrating on the skin, I find it quite greasy when it is first applied. It does take some rubbing to absorb into the skin and I prefer to wear it on days when not wearing make up over the top. It has quite an earthy, oat-like smell which could be slightly off-putting but I understand this is to avoid using fragrances which could cause problems for sensitive skin.

I recently started using the day cream. It’s rich and luxurious, soaks in really well. Helps with fine lines and dryness on my skin without leaving an oily film. Goes on great underneath make up and perfect for everyday use. Skin looks less tired and seemed to reduce redness that I get on my cheeks

Hi there. Would this be good for combination/oily skin which is very prone to breakouts, particularly hormonal ones?
It is a very gentle and lightweight cream which helped me when I have had hormonal breakouts and sensitivity. The cream helps calm stressed skin and I found that using all three products in the pro-biotic range definitely improved my skin.

I notice there is no eye product in the range and no warning to avoid eye area on products (I’m using cleanser, day and night cream). Does this mean products are suitable for eye area? Without getting in eyes obviously!. Thanks for your help.

Whilst our Pro-Biotic Balancing Day Cream is suited to those with dry, sensitive, reactive-feeling skin types looking for an ultra-gentle, deeply hydrating day cream, we would suggest using a cream that has been specifically formulated for the eyes around the eye area. The skin around the eyes is finer than on the rest of the face and so eye creams tend to be lightweight formulations that have been developed to tackle the specific concerns of the delicate eye area, allowing for effective skin absorption without causing puffiness. We would therefore always recommend a dedicated eye cream is used on this area.

Is this cream suitable for skin with acne rosacea? I currently use the light cream but i get many flare ups…
I can have sensitive skin but found this fine to use. Felt my skin was smoother using it and I know some can find the smell off putting but it disappears once the cream is absorbed which is pretty quick. I would suggest trying it as customer service is very good if things are unsuitable. Hope that helps

You may wish to consider adding our Environmental Skin Defence Cream to your morning routine. This provides mineral SPF 25 protection against both UVA and UVB rays while also acting as a shield against pollution and blue light, which many make up formulas will not provide. The universally tinted lightweight cream can also be used as a primer, so it works well as a base for your make up; giving you a healthy-looking glow while protecting skin.
