ALOE VERA
(Aloe barbadensis)
Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.
CALENDULA EXTRACT
(Calendula officinalis)
Well-known for its calming and soothing effect on skin, we source our calendula from Egypt, where our ingredient is solvent extracted from the petals of the flower.
CHAMOMILE EXTRACT
(Anthemis nobilis)
Legendary for its skin-soothing properties, the flowers of this aromatic perennial are harvested in England in the summer, before the ingredient is solvent extracted from the fragrant flower.
CUCUMBER EXTRACT
(Cucumis sativus)
Loved for its intensely soothing, cooling and hydrating properties, we source our cucumber from within the UK, where our ingredient is produced from the fresh, green flesh of the vegetable.

Great product
I have been using Liz Earle products for a lot of years and instant boost skin tonic is one of my favourites. It's another product to help clean your skin and leave it in good condition after you have used cleanse and polish. You can also use it after any other cleanser you may use.

Must have!
I've used this for several years now & it never fails to make my skin feel refreshed. I've tried other brands but they make my skin feel tight & dry. The instant boost skin tonic does exactly what it says & gives my skin a refreshing boost. It's plant based with natural ingredients too. I can live without some products but never want to be without my skin tonic as part of my cleansing routine.

Gentle tonic
Have been advised in the past not to use skin tonic as too drying for my sometimes dehydrated skin - but this is not the case with LE. It adds a layer of moisture and never feels tight or drying - makes a perfect base for my skincare regime. As a bonus it smells lovely and us god value as lasts ages.

Lovely product and packaging. However I was exceptionally, exceptionally disappointed that the 3 bottles I purchased were not sealed. I find this very concerning and deeply annoying on health and safety grounds. I was considering purchasing your No20 perfume but am sadly hesitant that that may not be sealed either.

Silky smooth
I wish this cream had been around years ago! I have extremely dry sensitive skin and have suffered with eczema for lots of years. After having used only half a tub of this cream my skin is much improved. It’s less dry n much less itchy. I’ll certainly continue to use this cream and look forward to much smoother silky skin. It has a lively smell too!

Something not quite right!
What’s happened?! I’d just finished an old style bottle of the skin tonics and loved it. I am really disappointed with the new version. I’m glad a previous reviewer has said it feels “soapy”. I thought I’d gone completely mad!! I’ve never come across a toner that has this consistency. Leaves a very unpleasant residue on my skin. I feel awful, but unfortunately I have a bottle going to waste!

What have you done.
I. Have used this toner for years, why when it’s a good product you have to mess with it.
This new formula is horrible it’s not a patch on the original.
For goodness sake leave things alone. I won’t be using this anymore.

Best toner ever

Changed formula
I have used this tonic for years, the scent was divine and left the skin fresh. But not a fan now,! Soapy, sticky and and scent is not nearly as nice. Please change back to old formula,

New consistency
I had used Liz Earle products for years, then took a break. Decided to return to Liz Earle as the alternative range I was using No longer suited my skin type (sensitive). I have to say that I am slightly disappointed that the skin tonic consistency has changed. It is thicker and actually feels “soapy” on my skin. Not sure if I like it or not!

Since this product was changed when applied to skin you get a soapy foamy residue. The old version was far better and smelt much nicer. I gave seen lots of bad reviews for this especially on qvc. Please revert back to original which I gad used for around 15 years

Should this liquid be a brown colour ?
I have used IBST for years except when it was reformulated. I then went back to the tonic when it was reverted back to the original and I have never known it to be brown?
Please note this style of bottle contains the reformulated tonic.

Is the new packaging?
This type of bottle contains the reformulated tonic that everyone, including myself disliked.
Thank goodness it was changed back to the original formula in the original packaging. Unfortunately I would not recommend this tonic in this bottle.

Can this be used as a spritz?
Yes, I have used this as a spritz but use at arms length to do that. Usually just one spray is enough.

I would also like to know whether LE is doing anything about the change in formula given all the negative reviews. It doesn’t look like anything has progressed in the last 2 months when you said you were working on a solution ….
You can buy the skin tonic in the original formula if you look on the website..the cleanse and polish is the same as it always was, it still has that lovely smell and it’s thick and creamy and to me hasn’t changed

The 50ml new look bottle states underneath, ‘new look, same product’, however I have one of the new look bottles in the 200ml size and comparing the ingredients with the old bottle there are clearly 2 new added ingredients listed 3rd and 4th. Not as good.

is the product suitable for teenage acne? is the product non-comedogenic? how often should I use the product?
Original formula would have been great but not the new formula as it now tacky, foamy and stinging on the skin.

Why can’t I buy the pump action version of face wash, I really don’t like the squeezy tube. Fortunately I am still able to buy it n a high street store.
