I used Liz Earle years back, but when they changed the ingredients in the cleanse and polish I had to stop using as it gave me spots so I wasn’t overly hopeful with this cleanser, but I have been using for 10 days now and I must say it does what it says! It cleanses effectively and leaves skin soft, smooth and clean, with no break outs. The instructions say to not use round the eyes but I can carefully use round my eyes. Will definitely be repurchasing this along with the other glow range. It’s very good value compared to other high end cleansing balms I have used.

There are so many products now I find it very confusing. Does this replace the normal cleanse and polish or should it be used in addition? If so, how often?

I find this works better for me if I use it in the morning to wash of any creams/serums I've applied overnight. Not enough to remove my make up at the end of the day as I don't think it would clean my face enough so I get a better cleanse with the cleanse and polish of an evening. It's a quick new addition to my skin routine for the morning and does leave my skin feeling plumped and glowy which would be lost on my pillow if I did use this of an evening . I have maturing sensitive skin, pro biotic range bought me out in tiny red spotty rashes so avoid now at all coats but cleanse and glow is so far OK .

Is this suitable for someone With roseaca prone skin?

Thank you for your question. This cleanser has been tested on, and proven to be suitable for, sensitive skin. However, if you have sensitive or rosacea prone skin, we recommend doing a patch test with any new product, applying a small amount to your inner elbow and leaving for 24 hours to test suitability for your skin before using on your face. If you do not find Cleanse & Glow™ suitable for your sensitive skin, our Pro-Biotic Balancing Milk Cleanser may be a better match for you.- The Liz Earle Beauty Co Team.

Will the Cleanse & Glow Gel remove eye makeup? (Specifically mascara and eyeliner) Also, is it suitable for mature skin?...I'm in my late fifties, good skin but with a tendency to dryness and occasional irritation. Thank you : )

Some brands mascara can be quite stubborn so you may wish to remove your eye makeup with our Eye Bright Soothing Eye Cleanser before you cleanse. You will be pleased to know that our Cleanse & Glow is suitable for all skin types, including mature skin. This cleanser is enriched with Acerola Cherry Extract which contains 80% more Vitamin C than an orange. Vitamin C protects the skin cells from harmful free radicals that can cause the skin to lose radiance, alongside causing damage to collagen and elastin fibres that plump and tone the skin, therefore making this especially ideal for mature skin.
