AVOCADO OIL
(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.
ECHINACEA EXTRACT
(Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea)
Used for its toning and conditioning properties, Echinacea is native to North America. We source our skin-smoothing extract from within the United Kingdom, where the plant is harvested in July and August before the ingredient is extracted and micro-filtered from the flowers, leaves and stem.
HOPS EXTRACT
(Humulus lupulus)
Used for its mild astringent properties, we source our hops from the United Kingdom and Germany, where the leafy green hop strobiles are harvested in August and September before they are fully ripe. The strobiles are then dried in the shade before being extracted to create our ingredient.

I’ve always liked liz Earle products so was very open and happy to try this
So far I’ve really liked using this product and would definitely repurchase. I have oily/ combination skin that can feel quite dehydrated and I have noticed a difference since using this gel cream.

I loved how this felt on my skin. It made it feel so soft, straight away.
It was oily or sticky like some face creams too. It didn't feel so heavy on the skin and I could apply make up on top too and it didn't slide off.

Liz Earle skin repair
I'm 50/50 on this one , little goes a long way and soaks in skin quickly .
But I can't get over the consistency, it's really runny .yes I know it's definitely a personal choice of mine I just like thicker creams .
It works well I have been using it at night as my skin in the morning feels really hydrated .
So no this product is not for me .

Great hydrating moisturiser!
Absolutely loved this moisturiser - have been using it roughly for 2 weeks and found my skin is a lot more hydrating. It’s a thick gel texture that really sinks into the skin. You get loads of product as well! Been using it everyday for 2 weeks and still feels full! Would buy again!

I love this gel cream, I was sceptical at what the differences would be as a gel cream to the normal creams and thought it was just a clever word play, however the consistency of the cream is gel like and it absorbs so much faster than any cream does. This product absorbs into the skin quickly rather than sitting on top of the skin which means for my skin It feels more hydrated looks plumper and does not have or leave any shine which I hate. I feel and look refreshed rather that shiney and feeling greasey.

So luxurious and moisturizing!
I am such a huge fan of Liz Earle and the Skin Repair Gel cream is becoming a favourite. It feels very rich and moisturizing but it does not sit heavy on my skin (I have oily skin so not a fan of heavy or greasy creams). It feels very hydrating as well and I use it both during the day and at night. If you have dry or dehydrated skin, you would love it.

So hydrating!
This product is so lovely. It claims to hydrate for 72 hours and it really does! The texture is thick ish but gel - cream so it still feels cooling and lightweight. I have combo skin so I can't use anything heavy so I alternate this cream to stop purging. Would recommend. Light scent.

A beautiful texture but not enough of a drink for my dry-dehydrated skin. I think this would better suit normal to combo. It's recommended for oily skin that tends to be shiny during the day.

Winter skincare
As you know in winter this is when you have to take time picking out items that will nourish your skin but at the same time not clog pores and cause breakouts. This moisturiser is the perfect happy medium for giving my skin the nutrients it needs but at the same time being light enough . Really balances my skin .

Glowing supple skin
I really liked the consistency of this product, in gel form it wasn’t to heavy and was easy to work into the skin where it became milky and more watery in consistency. It helped to remove my makeup but did leave some residue… the most noticeable plus was the glow my skin had after use and felt repaired and supple. I would repurchase this again

Why does jar boast 72 hours of hydration. If you use Liz Earle, your moisturiser would be applied at least twice a day. So why would you need 72 hours. Confused!

is the product suitable for teenage acne? is the product non-comedogenic?

All skin, however oily or blemish prone, needs nurturing with vitamins and essential fatty acids twice a day, morning and night to ensure that it's in the best possible condition. The best formulation for teenage, ance prone or oily skin types would be our Skin Repair Gel Cream. Our Gel Cream is a cool lightweight translucent cream gel which is slighted mattifying on the skin and provides refreshing shine-free hydration. All our products in the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range have not been tested for comedogenicity. However, we believe that one ingredient that could cause a product to be comedogenic is mineral oil and this is not something that is used in our skincare range, as we believe that plant oils are better for the skin. Can you tell me if the formula for the gel moisturiser has changed please? I have ordered some from QVC & it has a very unpleasant & distinctive smell unlike the gel cream I have previously purchased directly from yourselves.

Sometimes, due to differing harvesting methods we use, different locations and seasons this can affect the natural plant oils and botanicals we use, these can occasionally have an impact on the colour, aroma or texture of a formulation. This should only be very minimal though and does not affect the performance of the product.
