With a soothing gel cream texture, this moisturiser is enriched with a blend of moisturising borage oil, avocado oil to smooth and soften, soothing echinacea and toning hops.

AVOCADO OIL
(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.
ECHINACEA EXTRACT
(Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea)
Used for its toning and conditioning properties, Echinacea is native to North America. We source our skin-smoothing extract from within the United Kingdom, where the plant is harvested in July and August before the ingredient is extracted and micro-filtered from the flowers, leaves and stem.
HOPS EXTRACT
(Humulus lupulus)
Used for its mild astringent properties, we source our hops from the United Kingdom and Germany, where the leafy green hop strobiles are harvested in August and September before they are fully ripe. The strobiles are then dried in the shade before being extracted to create our ingredient.

Winter skincare
As you know in winter this is when you have to take time picking out items that will nourish your skin but at the same time not clog pores and cause breakouts. This moisturiser is the perfect happy medium for giving my skin the nutrients it needs but at the same time being light enough . Really balances my skin .

Glowing supple skin
I really liked the consistency of this product, in gel form it wasn’t to heavy and was easy to work into the skin where it became milky and more watery in consistency. It helped to remove my makeup but did leave some residue… the most noticeable plus was the glow my skin had after use and felt repaired and supple. I would repurchase this again

Liz Earl Repair Cream

As a fan of Liz Earle and having used the old formula moisturiser for years, I thought I’d give this a go. Absolutely awful, made my skin red a sore and no moisturising properties whatsoever. Really wish they hadn’t messed with the original formula. Certainly and inferior moisturiser to the original.

Lovely moisturiser
Really like this moisturiser, it’s just the right balance of lightness and has a lovely smell. I do prefer using it in the evening to in the morning, just because I found it takes a few minutes to soak in. Once it does, my skin feels really soft and you can apply make up over it easily.

Makes my skin smooth!
This makes me skin so soft and smooth. It has a nice, gentle scent, which I prefer to strong smells. It blends nicely into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling sticky/greasy. It would be nice if they sold this in a tube.

Light non greasy gel cream
From the 1st application I noticed the moisturiser had an amazing luscious smell, it smelt expensive like the product used when you get a professional facial. It has got a light texture which absorbs fast into the skin, does not leave a greasy/sticky feeling. Texture is very rich and creamy yet lightweight. You don’t need to use a lot of product, just a bit of cream and it lathers onto the whole face. Skin immediately feels hydrated, supple and looks glowing and brighter. Fragrance is not very strong and overpowering, it is pleasant and appealing. The package size is good value for money, and lasts for a long time.

Amazing cream
I don’t have a words how great is this gel cream, I have been using this cream for 3weeks now and since using this product my face is very soft, like a baby skin. Often I have dry skin but now my problem is solved. I use everyday, morning and night and the texture of the cream is great is not sticky at all.

I Love this gel, I’ve not even used any out of the actual pot yet I’m still using what’s on the little cap that comes in it. A tiny amount of this product covers my entire face. It’s a really thin gel that spreads easily and doesn’t leave any residue behind it just leaves your skin feeling hydrated! Using this product makes me feel like I’m taking good care of my skin, I highly recommend it. I have combination skin and it works wonders for me.

Why does jar boast 72 hours of hydration. If you use Liz Earle, your moisturiser would be applied at least twice a day. So why would you need 72 hours. Confused!

is the product suitable for teenage acne? is the product non-comedogenic?

All skin, however oily or blemish prone, needs nurturing with vitamins and essential fatty acids twice a day, morning and night to ensure that it's in the best possible condition. The best formulation for teenage, ance prone or oily skin types would be our Skin Repair Gel Cream. Our Gel Cream is a cool lightweight translucent cream gel which is slighted mattifying on the skin and provides refreshing shine-free hydration. All our products in the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range have not been tested for comedogenicity. However, we believe that one ingredient that could cause a product to be comedogenic is mineral oil and this is not something that is used in our skincare range, as we believe that plant oils are better for the skin. Can you tell me if the formula for the gel moisturiser has changed please? I have ordered some from QVC & it has a very unpleasant & distinctive smell unlike the gel cream I have previously purchased directly from yourselves.

Sometimes, due to differing harvesting methods we use, different locations and seasons this can affect the natural plant oils and botanicals we use, these can occasionally have an impact on the colour, aroma or texture of a formulation. This should only be very minimal though and does not affect the performance of the product.
