Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.
CRANBERRY SEED OIL
(Vaccinium macrocarpon)
Used in our products for its ability to help improve moisture retention, cranberries are native to the peat wetlands of North America. Rich in skin-plumping essential fatty acids and nourishing vitamin E, our oil is produced by cold-pressing the seeds of the bright, red berries.

Very disappointed
I purchased this in January with a gift voucher from my granddaughter. The first thing on opening it was the strong smell I used it sparingly the first night, during the night I started scratching my face but didn't have any further reaction after cleaning in the morning. The second night I was scratching and itchy all night. When I get into Town I intend to see the rep. I am upset at using my gift for an expensive cream I can't use and wasted my gift money

I am sad to say that for the first time I am disapointed. I find it very sticky and rather heavy. My cheek literally sticks to my pillow - on my beautiful silk pillow case! Not sure the scent, though pleasant, is necessary. I won’t use this one again..

I've been a devoted Orgnic skincare user for the last 10 years but it's got out of my price range now. After much deliberation I chose Liz Earle as my new brand. So glad I did as I absolutely love this Superskin night cream. It feels luxurious without feeling heavy. My skin feels so soft and smooth in the morning. It smells healthy although odd, which I think might be the borage. I can live with that though as it's a natural product.

Really does work - winter blessing
I have super dry skin due to an auto immune condition. And this really added moisture as well as reduce dark areas around my eyes. Used it every day for a week to start with and really noticed the difference and then reduced down to a few days a week and using cica in between. When I went a few days without using this night cream routine my skin told me within 2 days it was dry again. Consistency really makes a difference.

Best night cream ever 👌

What is the difference between the SuperSkin Night Cream and the Skin repair Hydrating night cream? Which is better for dry flaking skin?
I use the super skin night cream as I’m
Older and I wake with more plumped skin . It’s a richer but not heavy cream formula which works for me . I don’t have dry flaky skin so couldn’t comment. A night time hydrating mask a couple of times a week is also good and liz Earle have many products which work well overnight

I have just reached 70 and my skin is not in bad condition but lately it’s got dryer, which products of yours should I use, I do like a rich night cream

We would always recommend that you choose products suitable for your skin type, rather than age.
There are a number of products in our range, which are suitable for those that have dry skin. For example, our Superskin Nourishing Night Cream and Skin Repair Hydrating Night Cream.
All of our products are formulated to be as mild and gentle as possible; however, we would always recommend you carry out a patch test prior to using any new skincare product for the first time. A small amount should be applied close to the area of intended use (behind the ear is ideal in this instance). Should you experience any redness, irritation or discomfort during the next 24 hours – or at any point during use - then you should immediately discontinue use and we would not recommend use of that particular product.

Is this product for more mature skin? I’m 33 and have combination skin and early signs of aging such as fine lines, would this be suitable for my skin or too rich?
I am 59 and it’s just too greasy for my skin. I use the tiniest amount and it just doesn’t sink in properly. It sits on my skin all night so I have to sleep on my back when using it. It leaves my skin tacky despite using barely any at all. I love the aroma though. Hope that helps!

Is the superskin range non comedogenic?

I can advise that none of our products within the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range have been tested for comedogenicity. However, we believe that one ingredient that could cause a product to be comedogenic is mineral oil and this is not something that is used in our skincare range, as we believe that plant oils are better for the skin.

I was considering buying this Superkin night cream,I thought it was a brand new product but after reading a post above,was this previously the overnight mask,renamed as a night cream??
Hello, We can advise that Superskin Nourishing Night Cream, was previously know as Superskin Overnight Mask. We realised that this wonder product, when applied as a light layer does not require rinsing off in the morning and can be used as a night cream. A night cream is something we often hear from our customers that they would like introduced to our range - sooner rather than later. So for us it felt like a natural step to transition this into a hybrid product that can have a dual use. You can still use as an overnight mask if you apply a thicker layer, and rinse off with your morning cleanse.
Our rich formula means that you do not have to use a lot, to get a lot of benefits. Listening to feedback we found that a smaller jar size was more desirable, which is why we chose to make this product in line with our moisturiser size offering.
