Your essential first step in both your morning and night skincare routine, followed by your toner and moisturiser. Easy to use, simply follow our step-by-step guide:

STEP 1

Dispense a grape-sized amount of cleanser into your palm.

Massage onto dry skin over your face and neck, finishing over your eye area.

COCOA BUTTER
(Theobroma cacao)

Famous for its excellent emollient properties, we source our cocoa butter from West Africa, where fermented beans of the cocoa tree are roasted, cracked and ground to give a powdery solid called cocoa mass, from which cocoa butter is pressed.

Rosemary

ROSEMARY EXTRACT
(Rosmarinus officinalis)

Used for its antioxidant properties, we source our rosemary from Spain, where the extract is filtered from the needle-shaped leaves of the plant.

Chamomile

CHAMOMILE EXTRACT
(Anthemis nobilis)

Legendary for its skin-soothing properties, the flowers of this aromatic perennial are harvested in England in the summer, before the ingredient is solvent extracted from the fragrant flower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the usual quality this time. I have been using the original Cleanse & Polish for several years. I alternate where I buy it from as occasionally I take advantage of multi buy offers on QVC. However, with the last batch I had, both cleansers had a much runnier texture than the rich texture it usually has. It is reminiscent of alternative, cheaper brands. Has the formula changed or have I just been unlucky with two 200 ml tubes that I had? As a caveat, I have to say that they had to wait a couple of months before being used as I had an issue with my skin and I avoided using anything but water. They were kept in a cupboard at room temperature, and out of the way of light sources.

It is a gentle polish that can be used every day, which I do.It has a lovely light botanical scent that adds to that refreshing feeling. It comes with 2 face clothes so that you use warm water on the cloth to remove it. My skin feels and looks smoother from using this polish. Great for removing dead skin cells.

The muslin cloth that comes with it makes such a difference — it gives a light exfoliation and helps lift away dead skin cells, leaving my skin feeling super smooth. I also love that it doesn’t foam. It has more of a creamy, balm-like texture, which makes it feel nourishing and hydrating instead of stripping my skin.

Is the cleanse and polish suitable for oily acne prone skin

Suitable for all skin types, our Cleanse & Polish contains eucalyptus and rosemary which gently purifies the skin, ridding it of excess oil without harshly stripping the skin (which causes more oil production). My 14 year old grandson has started to get spots is Cleanse and Polish suitable for him and does he need to use the Instant Boost Skin Tonic and Skin Repair Cream or is Cleanse and Polish adequate.

Everybody’s skin is different but I do find cleanse and polish cleanser works well to keep my skin clear. I personally feel it works better alongside the tonic and I never skip moisturiser. When the skin is dry, it can produce more oil to try and combat this which can lead to more spots. Liz Earle have a few different moisturisers he could try to see which one works best with his skin type. Hope this helps.

Love this cleanser but could you make smaller bottles that are reusable? They would be great for use when travelling.

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Whilst we do have 30ml and 50ml options available for our Cleanse & Polish, a refill system is not something we are looking to introduce. Unfortunately, offering multiuse or refillable packaging is not an option as some of our formulations can be sensitive to light and by changing the container, this opens the formulation to a different environment. Our packaging is primarily developed to protect the product and to provide a quality customer experience. Can cleanse & polish be used by my 11 year old granddaughter. Her skin is becoming greasy

Cleanse and polish balances the oils in the skin.its good for oily skin and also dry patches on the skin. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised. Cleanse and polishes can be used for any age. Wouldn’t be without it.

Has there recently been a change to the formulation of this or your matching toner? This and the toner used to be so good for sensitive skin but I’m finding it is triggering my eczema when it never used to so wanted to enquire whether you’ve changed it?
