About this moisturiser

For 72 hours of refreshing hydration. Offering 72 hours of refreshing hydration, this fast-absorbing, plant-powered moisturiser locks in moisture and restores balance to your skin when it needs cooling, shine-free hydration.

With a soothing gel cream texture, this moisturiser is enriched with a blend of moisturising borage oil, avocado oil to smooth and soften, soothing echinacea and toning hops.

After use, skin feels calm, refreshed and glows with natural radiance.

We particularly recommend Skin Repair™ Gel Cream for oily skin that tends to be shiny during the day, but it is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive.

Avocado — AVOCADO OIL
*(Persea gratissima)*

Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.

Borage — BORAGE SEED OIL
*(Borago officinalis)*

Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.

ECHINACEA EXTRACT
*(Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea)*

Used for its toning and conditioning properties, Echinacea is native to North America. We source our skin-smoothing extract from within the United Kingdom, where the plant is harvested in July and August before the ingredient is extracted and micro-filtered from the flowers, leaves and stem.

Hops — HOPS EXTRACT
*(Humulus lupulus)*

Used for its mild astringent properties, we source our hops from the United Kingdom and Germany, where the leafy green hop strobiles are harvested in August and September before they are fully ripe. The strobiles are then dried in the shade before being extracted to create our ingredient.

The only thing I am not too keen on is the smell and does put me off slightly which is a shame as I really love all the other products

I like it very much and use long time it’s not 1st time I buy it. it has an incredibly pleasant texture, minimal consumption and a pleasant smell, it is perfectly absorbed and does not make the skin greasy, the skin feels great and is moisturized for a long time. I am simply delighted with it!!! I highly recommend it!!!

I have combination congested skin and find this is the only cream that helps balance my skin. The smell is pleasant, nothing to complain about. And most importantly a reasonably priced product, I have used high end moisturisers but this one is the best overall.

This gel moisturises well without leaving my face shiny but I really don't like the smell - it reminds me of cooked oily meat like bacon, so for that reason I would not buy it again.

I love Liz Earle products and the effects of this gel cream have worked really well for me historically but I think I'm going to have to stop using this product down to the smell. It's not nice at all and not what I've come to expect from LE having used them as my go-to skin care for a number of years now. If you're wondering... Me and my husband have been trying to place the smell and we've come to the conclusion it smells like when you're cooking sausages in an air fryer! Not what I want my skin to smell like or what I expect from Liz Earle products... I could not recommend it based on this. It's a shame because I love the jar and the effects of the gel cream.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ella0710 from Loved it but now not sure I’ve been using this moisturiser for over a year and have been very happy with it, but the latest jar is different, it’s arrived in a new jar which is nice, but it smells different (not as nice) and feels slightly different on application, I’m wondering if LE has changed the ingredients along with the jar?
