Aloe Vera

(Aloe barbadensis)

Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.

(Centaurea cyanus)

Used for its soothing and cooling properties, we source our cornflower from Europe, where we extract our ingredient from the rich blue flowers of the plant.

(Euphrasia officinalis)

Legendary for its soothing and refreshing properties, and rich in tannins, flavonoids and glycosides, our eyebright is harvested in Bulgaria, where the aerial parts of the plant are macerated in water for 7 days to create our extract.

Witch Hazel

(Hamamelis virginiana)

Legendary for its soothing and toning properties, witch hazel is native to the eastern coast of North America, and our witch hazel water is distilled from the chopped, macerated leaves of the flowering shrub.

Aqua (water), Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, PEG-60 almond glycerides, Glycerin, Decyl glucoside, Centaurea cyanus (cornflower) flower extract, Euphrasia officinalis extract, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, Phenoxyethanol, Panthenol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium hydroxide, Citric acid, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I got a sample with another order and had to buy more! It’s so refreshing especially if you’ve been up late the night before. Helps reduce eye bags and tired looking eyes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product - disappointing new packaging I always use eyebright and found the twist mechanism on the top of the bottle so easy to access the contents. I HATE the new packaging - the top just flaps open. It is squat and doesn't look as good on my bathroom shelf, next to the Instant Boost Skin Tonic. Also, I have been disappointed to learn that some of Liz Earle's products now contain parabens so I will be looking to source an alternative product from a different range for my next purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshing and soothing I use this in the mornings to wake my eyes up. It’s cooling and soothing but leaves my eyes refreshed. Also very good in hayfever season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Design I have used the eyebright for years and loved it. Now it's in a new bottle and I can't find any info on it which is strange. An explanation for the customers who have been using it for a long time would be essential I would have thought. The bottle has changed - disappointing - it was better before. The smell is different so that tells me the ingredients are different. I wish there was some info about it to let me know why and how it's changed. Won't be in a hurry to purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow new bottle Hi as a liz earle user for 23 years i love eye bright. I always have a bottle in the bathroom and one in the fridge. Its just what you need in sunny weather and also if you suffer with hayfever .I love the appearance of the new bottle, but i must admit, i like the screw up lid of old bottle.

Is this the same as the eye bright lotion?

Asked by: TeamT9876
Hello, thank you for getting in touch. We can confirm that we made the decision to update the name of our Eye Bright because, while our existing customers understand how to use the formula, we felt this name (Eye Bright Soothing Eye lotion) may be confusing for those that are new to the brand, as this product does not have a typical ‘lotion’ texture. We therefore decided that calling this a soothing cleanser was more true to multi-functional benefits of our product, which is that it both cleanses, but also provides soothing relief to tired eyes, making it a perfect partner for both AM and PM use. We can confirm that we have removed PEGs in order to improve the formulation and ensure product integrity standards compliance, and replaced them with a more gentle alternative. While this change will make the formulation gentler for the majority of customers, there is a small chance that some customers may find that the old version was more suitable for their particular skin. With this in mind, we recommend patch testing before using. We do hope this information helps. - Liz Earle Beauty Co.
