Aloe Vera

(Aloe barbadensis)

Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.

(Cinnamomum camphora)

Often used for its stimulating properties, camphor is native to China, Taiwan and Japan, and is a key botanical in our Brightening Treatment Mask. To produce our oil, the wood of the Cinnamomum camphora tree is steam-distilled, before the distillate is frozen to leave camphor oil behind.

Witch Hazel

(Hamamelis virginiana)

Legendary for its soothing and toning properties, witch hazel is native to the eastern coast of North America, and our witch hazel water is distilled from the chopped, macerated leaves of the flowering shrub.

Aqua (water), Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, PEG-60 almond glycerides, Glycerin, Decyl glucoside, Centaurea cyanus (cornflower) flower extract, Euphrasia officinalis extract, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, Phenoxyethanol, Panthenol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium hydroxide, Citric acid, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate.

In light of the current situation, we are placing international orders on pause. Please rest assured this is a temporary measure and we’ll be letting you know as soon as there are any changes. We really appreciate your patience and understanding.

I was recently given this mask as a birthday gift and noticed in the list of ingredients that it contained parabens. It was my understanding that these can be harmful and I just wanted to confirm that it was safe to continue using this product? I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks. Jackie

Hi Jackie, thanks for sending over your question. Parabens have been selected as part of the essential preserving system of this product, as they have been deemed the best preservative for this kind of formulation. Parabens have a long history of safe use in personal care and pharmaceutical products. Many colour products contain mineral ingredients and parabens are particularly effective in preserving these types of formulations. We've used parabens as preservatives as these are the safest food-grade preservatives and commonly found in nature. (They are the reasons blueberries last longer than strawberries as these healthy superfoods have a higher paraben content.) I hope this helps. - The Liz Earle Beauty Co. Team
