This light, non-oily herbal formula is powered by eyebright extract – renowned for its soothing properties - as well as cooling cornflower, hydrating aloe vera and toning witch hazel.

ALOE VERA
(Aloe barbadensis)
Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.
CORNFLOWER EXTRACT
(Centaurea cyanus)
Used for its soothing and cooling properties, we source our cornflower from Europe, where we extract our ingredient from the rich blue flowers of the plant.
EYEBRIGHT EXTRACT
(Euphrasia officinalis)
Legendary for its soothing and refreshing properties, and rich in tannins, flavonoids and glycosides, our eyebright is harvested in Bulgaria, where the aerial parts of the plant are macerated in water for 7 days to create our extract.
WITCH HAZEL WATER
(Hamamelis virginiana)
Legendary for its soothing and toning properties, witch hazel is native to the eastern coast of North America, and our witch hazel water is distilled from the chopped, macerated leaves of the flowering shrub.

Perfect for perking up eyes in the morning and soothing tired eyes in the evening. Eyebright reduces/eliminates the redness I get from working long hours in front of a screen. So glad it is back in its original formula and twist up bottle, I make sure I always have a spare and never run out.

Must have for tired office computer eyes
Been buying this for years and never been able to buy anything that comes anywhere close to the benefits Eyebright gives. Really great in a morning for tired, sleep filled eyes, and even greater at the end of day after looking at a computer screen for 8 hours, soothing and gentle.

Eyebright - I can't live without it
I have used the eyebright since it was launched and I can't live without. Great for all year round and has really improved the skin around my eye however I am especially grateful during hay fever season. It really soothes my itchy eyes.

A new found favourite
I am a long term user of Liz Earle, but never really used Eyebright. However over the last few months I have been suffering from a watery left eye, and although I tried various eye drops, even one on prescription, it didn't really help much. I decided to give Eyebright a go as I have heard it can sooth tired eyes. If nothing else it would be pleasant to use even if it did not solve my problem. All I can say is that within a few days, my watery eye improved so much that I hardly noticed it at all, and now it is more or less gone. I don't know if it is the Eyebright that has cured it, but it would seem so. In any case I shall continue to use it as it is pleasant wake me up for the eyes in the morning. Wish I had discovered it sooner!

Couldn't wake up without it!
I keep this in the fridge and every morning I put it on folded eyepads and have my breakfast with them under my eyes - a sight to be seen,but does the trick!
Great for hayfever eyes,under the weather eyes etc
NOT the same as cold water because it's not drying.

This is a very lovely quality brand of product and I am lucky enough to have a few don her range. As with all her products these never fail to please and improve the look and feel of your skin. I love putting this on a couple of cotton wool pads and resting on my eyes for a couple of mins …ur feels great! Awful smell
I suffer with puffy, tired eyes so when I seen this product, I added it to my order as I am a huge fan of your products. It may be a miracle lotion but I can’t get back the awful smell of the lotion. I’m really disappointed with this product and have asked for a refund

It's changed!

Thank you, thank you for bringing back the original Eyebright formula. Not only is it the gentlest of eye make up removers but the best for soothing tired eyes from travel, and being in windy and dusty places. A small bottle always in my liquids holiday pack.

I bought this lotion but didn’t find it as good or as mild as the Soothing Eye Cleanser in that the smell is quite unpleasant and it caused a reaction in one of my eyes.

Soothing Eye Lotion
Having reverted back to the original formulation this Eye Lotion is once again lovely for soothing my eyes. I wear a little makeup and use it for removing same. I have a tendency to get sore red eyelids and this lotion calms them down. Useful in the hayfever months too for hayfever eyes. The bottle last a long time too .

This has burnt my under eyes what do I do??
Perhaps your skin is sensitive to one of the ingredients. I haven’t used this product recently as need to order more though I don’t love it as much as I used to - has something changed?

The skin around my eyes is quite red, possibly due to bay fever, when I used Eyebright it stung, not badly but enough not to be relaxing, should I continue using it?
I wouldn't use Eyebright on your eyes if it stung. I had a similar problem and used my Eyebright up as a facial toner.

My skin under my eyes is red and sore and i have sensitive patches on my skin i need help, will this and any moisturiser help me with my problem? Is there any product you can recommend
Eyebright will sooth your eyes, revitalise tired eyes and is wonderful in hayfever season, keep your bottle in the fridge for a cooling refreshing feel to your eyes.
It sounds as though you need a moisturiser that is calming , soothing and hydrates , I would suggest trying skin repair rich cream which offers 72 hours of hydration, locking in moisture, deeply hydrates restoring balance to your skin . Your skin will feel soothed,comforted and will glow with natural radiance. For an extra boost of hydration try adding a few drops of Calming Botanical Drops to your moisturiser for soothing and hydrating, skin will feel calm, soothed and look plumped and replenished. Your skin will thank you for it. Keep it simple and easy, that's what Liz Earle products are all about !!

You would absolutely apply your eye cream after like normal.
I mostly use Eyebright every morning as soon as I wake up to soothe my tired puffy eyes, I absolutely love it and would never be without it now.

Whilst our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser does remove light eye makeup, it has not been tested to remove waterproof makeup. You may find that using our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser as a compress first helps to remove the initial traces of make-up and then you follow with a thorough application of our Cleanse & Polish.

I understand that the packaging has changed, the content surely can’t be the same formula though? I have purchased one full size and two of the smaller size in the new packaging and the product now has no odour. Prior it smelt beautiful

When we changed the packaging of our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser, we also made the decision to move to a more plant-based formulation. However, the naturally active ingredients within the product remain unchanged and are included at the same levels.
Our Eyebright is unfragranced and always has been however, any aromas you get will be the naturally active ingredients.

Why has the colour of the plastic changed on the eyebright bottle? I wear glasses and I cannot differentiate between the toner and eyebright without them. If only it had been left the original colour and I much preferred the old dispensing bottle.
