With a soothing gel cream texture, this moisturiser is enriched with a blend of moisturising borage oil, avocado oil to smooth and soften, soothing echinacea and toning hops.

AVOCADO OIL
(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.
ECHINACEA EXTRACT
(Echinacea angustifolia/purpurea)
Used for its toning and conditioning properties, Echinacea is native to North America. We source our skin-smoothing extract from within the United Kingdom, where the plant is harvested in July and August before the ingredient is extracted and micro-filtered from the flowers, leaves and stem.
HOPS EXTRACT
(Humulus lupulus)
Used for its mild astringent properties, we source our hops from the United Kingdom and Germany, where the leafy green hop strobiles are harvested in August and September before they are fully ripe. The strobiles are then dried in the shade before being extracted to create our ingredient.

Smoother and glowing skin
This moisturiser is lightweight and not too overpowering. It absorbs quickly into the skin and it makes it soft and more hydrated. It is gentle to the skin and it doesn't make it sticky.

Great cream
My skin is sensitive to new products, however, it has taken to this cream well. This does not cause my skin conditions to flare up and it doesn’t seem to break me out, which is great. My skin feels moisturised without feeling like it has too heavy a cream on. I wake up with my face feeling soft and hydrated. I like the botanical smell and ingredients.

Really nice product love the packaging it comes in its really on trend . It doesn’t have much of a smell which I don’t personally mind as I suffer with migraines . The cream was nice to apply but I tend to like something abit more thicker

Perfect for open pores and instant hydration
I received these products for free from @Influenster and @LizEarle in exchangw for my honest review. I’m a first time user of LizEarle products and I must say the collection has really impressed me! The moisturizer was my favorite part of the bundle! It instantly absorbed into my skin and I could actually feel my skin nourished and hydrated. A very refreshing bundle of products and these are definitely keepers!

The ‘Skin Repair Gel Cream’ is very hydrating and you don’t actually need much of it so it would definitely last you. I love the packaging in the glass pot, it definitely makes it more luxurious which I love. It took me a few uses to get used to the gel like texture, but it melts into the skin and honestly it left my face hydrated all day. I didn’t feel dry at all even my typically dry areas. Very impressed with this product. And there’s no strong smell, just a subtle spa like scent which is lovely.

Moisturising and light
This is an extremely luxurious feeling cream. It glides onto the skin and feels very light on application. It has a soft fragrance and left my skin feeling nourished and soft. The only reason I haven’t given 4 stars is because it did sting upon application but that quickly subsided and didn’t leave any redness.

Glowing moisturiser
I have been enjoying trying this moisturiser, it feels so good on my skin and leaves a nice a glow. However I an not too keen on the smell and find it can be overpowering, but once the moisturiser sets in the smell goes away!
Overall I may purchase this product in the future!

This is absolutely gorgeous. It melts into the skin beautifully leaving it feeling super hydrated and smooth. A little goes a very long way so it will last ages! It is ever so slightly scented too which is lovely as it’s not too overpowering. The glass pot it stunning too and looks very classy

Brilliant moisturiser!
Having combination skin and a lot of acne on one cheek, this moisturiser is thin and not too heavy on the skin. It feels like it hydrates my skin and doesn't clog my pores as it's not overly thick. A little goes very far and great for not leaving skin oily afterwards.

love the gel texture
I was so glad when this gel cream first came out as I found the 'light' version just a bit too much for my very oily skin. This texture is so much better & doesn't make my face shine too much. It is now my 'go to' moisturiser. I prefer the tube version to the jar as you don't have to put your fingers into a jar, and it is easier to control how much you use.

Best face cream for me
I have been using Liz Earle since the late 1990s and have always found their products suit my skin. Until Liz Earle I could never use scented products as I always got a reaction. When the face creams were rejigged a while back I thought I would have to change to another brand. Glad I didn’t as this gel is just brilliant to use. It absorbs quickly and leaves the skin very soft. During the recent heatwave the gel’s cooling properties were also wonderful. I am now 67 and this is my cream for life.

Perfect for hot climates
Non greasy and easily absorbed, the gel cream is perfect for tropical climates. We’re sailing round the world on our boat, currently in Fiji & this product keeps my skin hydrated no matter how humid it gets. Daughter has just brought supplies from the UK, love it.

Fabulous Product.
I have been using this Skin Repair Gel Cream for at least two years and am very happy. My skin at age 60 still gets the odd breakout and can be sensitive but the moisturiser is just right. I find my skin is left feeling soft and hydrated and my make up goes on smoothly. Another plus is that finally I can move to The Light and Rich versions of this moisturiser when my skin needs a little more ( eg Winter ) . So very happy.

Great for acne prone skin
I have had acne prone skin since I was about 14 (I’m 32 now) and because my skin can get so oily in some places I didn’t often bother with moisturiser. This moisturiser is so light and doesn’t feel oily. I use it everyday now after using the cleanser and toner from the same make. Would definitely recommend.

Why does jar boast 72 hours of hydration. If you use Liz Earle, your moisturiser would be applied at least twice a day. So why would you need 72 hours. Confused!

is the product suitable for teenage acne? is the product non-comedogenic?

All skin, however oily or blemish prone, needs nurturing with vitamins and essential fatty acids twice a day, morning and night to ensure that it's in the best possible condition. The best formulation for teenage, ance prone or oily skin types would be our Skin Repair Gel Cream. Our Gel Cream is a cool lightweight translucent cream gel which is slighted mattifying on the skin and provides refreshing shine-free hydration. All our products in the Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare range have not been tested for comedogenicity. However, we believe that one ingredient that could cause a product to be comedogenic is mineral oil and this is not something that is used in our skincare range, as we believe that plant oils are better for the skin. Can you tell me if the formula for the gel moisturiser has changed please? I have ordered some from QVC & it has a very unpleasant & distinctive smell unlike the gel cream I have previously purchased directly from yourselves.

Sometimes, due to differing harvesting methods we use, different locations and seasons this can affect the natural plant oils and botanicals we use, these can occasionally have an impact on the colour, aroma or texture of a formulation. This should only be very minimal though and does not affect the performance of the product.
