ALARIA ESCULENTA EXTRACT
This brown algae, sourced in Brittany, is rich in essential fatty acids and sterols, making it an effective skin moisturiser. Also known as winged kelp, it demonstrates anti-elastase activity which results in firmer-feeling skin.
AVOCADO OIL
(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.

Changed, but not for the better
I thought this product had changed but thought I was imagining it. After reading the other reviews I realise that the runny product that doesn’t blend is different to the one that I’ve been using for years.
Liz Earle, please sort this out, I won’t purchase this again.

A Changed Product
I originally ordered my normal Beige share. Unfortunately other reviewers were correct and the shade was darker (compared it to the one I was using) and the texture was also different. Working on the assumption that the Fair shade would also be darker I ordered this and it is so
I am using this. I have also compared colour and texture to an old one and it is different I have therefore altered the way I apply it to rectify this.
I will persevere but may also look around for a replacement. Pity as I use nothing but Liz Earle for most things.

Bring back the old !
I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. I vary between 01 and 02 colour depending on winter/ summer.
I sent back an 02 as it was far too 'orange' and didn't match my previous 02. It was replaced with a 01 which was better but more runny than previous. Since I had made the effort of seeking advice from John Lewis Liz Earle counter who agreed with me but couldn't exchange, then I had to post said item to Liz Earle, I was expecting to receive a little box of goodies/voucher for my trouble. I received neither, not even an apology.

The ‘improved’ version is still bad!
I loved the original skin tint. It was the best! But have recently tried the improved version. Oh dear, this one was supposed to be an improvement on the last ‘improvement’ but it doesn’t glide on so easily, the colour is slightly more orange and it makes my skin look dry! All things I could do without. I tried doing half my face with a bit of the old stuff I had and the new one on the other side. The difference was quite sad really. Especially when the original was absolutely fantastic. If they brought it back as it was I would buy it in a heartbeat. But sadly I can’t buy it anymore.

Much improved product that wouldn’t be without...
I have never been without this product since I tried it maybe 6/7 years ago. In recent years they changed it and I gave it a bad review, hoping that the feedback would urge them to revisit the runny consistency and somewhat claggy feeling on the skin compared to the original formula. Overall, it was still a fantastic product compared to others on the market for sensitive skin. But thankfully, it seems that they have resolved this and I’m so pleased!

Bring back the old formula
Having spent months looking for an alternative I have found nothing that compares to the original formula of this product. Liz Earle would you not consider having two versions - Skin Tint Original and Skin Tint with added skin benefits?

Not the same product
I have just started using a new bottle of this product which I purchased last year and it seems runny and I seem to have dry patches on my skin. Doesn't seem to blend the same. Has something changed?

Excellent
I buy this product around the start of May as I don’t like to wear heavy foundations during the warmer months as I feel they are too sticky etc. This product is brilliant! It is not a full coverage product but you don’t need that when you wear this as it gives you and all over glow. It takes me 1 minute to apply in the morning which is a life saver and one bottle actually lasted me a whole year. The smell of it is also lovely!

Feels tight and is so orange
I have used liz Earle for years and always had tube of the tinted moisturiser in my make up bag. I bought a new tube yesterday in boots in Ireland and its horrendous. Orange, made my skin feel so tight and dry. When I think about it its couple of years since I last purchased and I came on to write a review and see comments about new formula. It used to be so cream, sheer, glowy and pale which suited my colouring. So disappointed..I can't wear it. It feels horrible

Very disappointed
I used the old sheer tint all year round and never considered using anything else. Now it's changed I have had to stop using this product. Before my skin would look dewy, light and even toned. I find the new version thick, greasy, not a nice smell and a totally different colour. I always used beige but the new beige is more similar to beach. I had a free sample of bare which was better in colour but still not right. The previous version had a large number of positive reviews and this has reduced which surely proves that it is not popular.

Totally ruined a great product
Have used this product for years since it was first launched, but never again, the new formula is terrible, awful colour, doesn’t blend, such a big disappointment, such a shame the company was taken over, I’m sure Liz herself would be very unhappy with this new formula, have emailed them but they are not interested in their loyal customers anymore, shan’t be buying from Liz Earle anymore after years of buying lots of their products.

Bring back the old product
I purchased this product a while ago and have only recently opened it. I wish I hadn’t. It’s awful. The product is watery and looks dry and powdery on my skin.
The original product was the best tint/foundation I had ever used, it gave a glow and moistured my skin. It’s safe to say I am really disappointed to see the product has changed to such a bad standard.
This isn’t something I would expect of the Liz Earle range and am not sure why you have changed such a fantastic product that didn’t need fixing? Please change it back or i’ll have to search elsewhere for an alternative.

Bring back the old formula
Liz Earle are still not listening to their customers as they continue to try and sell this awful 'improved' product. It bears no relation to the old formula that I had happily used for years, it worked perfectly on my rosacea-prone skin, soothing the redness and giving good natural coverage.
Now with 'added skincare benefits' it is greasy, the texture is too liquid, the coverage is poor and it irritates my skin. The colour has also been changed and is no longer pale enough for my skin, instead giving an orangey look. Last time I spoke to customer services about this, about a year ago, they told me that they were looking into reformulating this failed product but nothing has happened. Surely poor sales and poor reviews will eventually bring a simple and obvious solution: return to the old formula! Please?

Disappointed
I have just opened my new tube and cannot believe how it has changed from a luxurious, thick creamy balm to a runny, orangey product which does not suit my skin tone. The previous one was perfect. I have no words, totally disappointed! I have now turned to a cheaper brand which is better than this new formula but nowhere near as good as the original. I think you need to listen to the Liz Earle customers on this one.

Smells awful!
I have used cleanse and polish for ages and last year started using the cream blush, concealer and mascara which I love. I wanted a fairly sheer, light base so thought I’d give this a try. Whilst the coverage is what I was after it transfers extremely easily and the smell is frankly horrid! It’s very reminiscent of old out of date make up but I only bought this today! After only 2hrs I’ve had to take it off. I won’t be buying this again. Not the quality I expected from Liz Earle.

Please go back to old formula
The reviews say it all. I was told by customer services last April that the reviews would be taken into account - but nothing so far. Poor response to customers. My only assumption is that they made a cheaper new formula and don't want to return to the previous (quality) one.

For me this new formula is much better than the old one. On my skin, it goes on smoothly, sinks in well and gives good coverage while still being lighter than a foundation.

Please bring back the old formula!
I used to love the old formula - super creamy, moisturising and looked gorgeous on the skin. Bought it again without knowing they'd changed the formula and I HATE it - now incredibly runny (not creamy) and just sits on your skin looking like a greasy, orange mess (even in the lightest shade!). Why Liz Earle still hasn't brought back the old formula is beyond me when all customers are saying the same thing - we would buy the old formula, whereas this new formula is going straight in the bin!

I tried this for the first time a few days ago and I’m actually impressed, I have acne so I thought it wouldn’t really suit my skin but if you add some concealer where you need it, it overall leaves a lovely natural and dewy look! I also recommended it to a friend!

Changed formula irritates my eyes
I have used this skin tint for years and I LOVE it. However started the new formula two weeks ago (after my stock pile of old formula ran out) and initially noticed how much more runny it was. Within hours my eyes were watering and puffy and red. Couldn’t work out what was going on but then had a weekend free of wearing it - eyes were fine so used it again last week and again puffy red eyes. Another weekend free of wearing it and eyes are fine once again and I can see on some of the negative posts that other customers are having similar problems. PLEASE PLEASE can we have the old formula made available....why change a brilliant product?
I wont be buying or using this formula - who wants to look like they are crying all day?

So disappointing!!!!!
I have used Liz Earle skin care for about 20 years and I absolutely love it it is fantastic! I only ever used a face powder on my face as foundation used to sit in my pores so it never looked good. A few years ago on holiday I visited a store with a Liz Earle counter and was offered to try the skin tint. The result was amazing no clogged pores just a flawless finish, teamed with the bronzing powder I had found my perfect face products. When I got back from holiday a friend asked if I had had work done on my face as it looked so good!!! I continued to use the skin tint ordering it online as I live in New Zealand, still very happy with it. Then the last one I opened smelt funny and was very runny if I stood it up it leaked out into the cabinet! So I had to store it upside down. When I put it on my skin it was so thin it was streaky, I tried mixing it with face cream to thicken it up but the smell was so off putting I just threw it away! I thought it must have been off. So ordered a new one only to find exactly the same with the new one! Then I read all the reviews and realised that the product had been changed.......not for the better sadly!
I do wish you would bring back the old version as it was my miracle product I can’t believe you would mess with something so perfect! So sad

Skin conditioning
I'm really surprised by the negative comments on here. I usually agree with the masses! I put the SPF factor to the test this summer and it was really effective. I am fair and find the tint perfect. All similar products I've tried either turn me white or orange. SPF stuff on me is usually heavy and sticky. I used to wear SPF then Foundation and my skin condition was awful. I love Liz Earle products so thought I'd see if this simple product was better than my double layering and it saved my skin. I'm on tube num 2 now and would highly recommend it. It feels like it makes the skin healthy. Perhaps it's a new formula or something?

Bring back the old formula
I’ve used this for years but not anymore since they changed the ingredients list.
I loved the Dewey skin finish it gave.
Now it’s just not worth bothering with. Totally different product.
I’m looking for an alternative to this so if anyone finds something good please let me know.
I’m sad to have lost this from my make-up bag! Liz Earle team, please listen to your customers!

New formula awful
Have used Sheer Tint ever since it was first brought out. Wonderfully creamy texture which completely disappeared into skin giving a lovely glow. This new formula is completely different. So runny it runs out of the tube, smells gingery and does not blend into skin, but stays visible on skin. So very very disappointed. Now have to seek an alternative elsewhere. Please please bring back old formula

Please be assured that the decision to retire our Sheet Skin Tint collection is not one taken lightly and comes following a careful review. Unfortunately, we have found that over time our Sheer Skin Tint has been less popular with our customers, and so we are taking the difficult decision to no longer stock these items. How do I know what shade to select for my skin?

Our Sheer Skin Tint is available in three shades. Shade Bare 01 is suited to more alabaster complexions, or those that have fair hair, eyes, or red in their hair. Shade Beige 02 suits slightly warmer skin tones, with slightly yellow undertones and Shade Beach 03 is suited to olive or sun kissed complexions.
