Cleanse & Polish™ Body Gentle Mitt Cleanser
SUNFLOWER SEED OIL
(Helianthus annuus seed oil)
Containing essential fatty acids, omega 6 and 9, this plant oil is an effective emollient used to soften and smooth the skin. Historically, this ingredient has been used to relieve dry skin conditions.
APRICOT KERNEL OIL
(Prunus armeniaca kernel oil)
Used for its lightweight texture, we source our apricot kernel oil from the Mediterranean. We use the fixed oil in our products which is high in essential fatty acids and vitamins A and E.
RICE BRAN OIL
(Oryza sativa bran oil)
Grown and harvested in Asia, we extract our rice bran oil from the germ and inner husk of rice. High in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, it is a renowned for its moisturising properties in skincare.

Disappointed with this product.
Got this last year,have used a few times almost half full,but can’t squeeze product from container,even with 2 hands also can’t even get the cap off to to remove product.will not purchase again.

Good product
I love this cleanser and mitt, I have bought more through lockdown, my skin needing a treat. The smell is devine, just like the face cleanser. The only thing that prevented me giving it a five rating was I would like it to last a little longer. I will continue to buy it because I love it.

the mitt is child size, the cleanser is free of fragrance
The mitt is child size far too small for adult hand & the cleanser is free of any fragrance & boring to use. Not a good product at all. I am very disappointed with it.

Creamy and luxurious
I've been wanting to try the Body Cleanse & Polish for some time and my niece bought it for me for my birthday. Excited to try it and was not disappointed. It feels creamy and applying it with the mitt, of course, made my skin softer and smoother. What a treat!

Amazing cleanser and gentle scrub all in one.
Having used cleanse and polish for years this addition to the range was very exciting and it did not disappoint. Gives a wonderful lather and a gentle all over exfoliation, perfect! The only thing I do differently is use my exfoliating gloves as I find this easier and quicker in the morning so would love an option to buy without the mitt.

I began using this as a shampoo recently in addition to using as a body cleanser! I suffer from patches of scalp psoriasis and thought I’d give this a try (following a new trend of ‘no-shampoo’ products). My skin and hair are in excellent condition thanks to this!

Just Lovely
I realise, as I'm writing a few reviews on this site, that the scents of Liz Earle products are amazing. This body scrub is incredibly refreshing and energising/uplifting. I tend to use a shower puff, rather than the mitt and a small amount quickly turns into a creamy lather and the bathroom smells like a spa. I use the lavender and veviter for an evening shower and both body balms. They create a lovely, luxurious aromatherapy shower and leave my skin soft, clean and beautifully scented. The product is rich and creamy and a little goes a long way.

Lovely cleaner but disappointing mitt
I love this cleanser, but the mitt is far too small and doesn't stay on the hand - I have small hands and it just wasn't big enough and kept slipping off. Two of my friends reported the same problem. I would buy the cleaner again but without the mitt (if that's possible) as it was not up to the job.

Cleansing and Polishing The Rest of You
I won't lie... My expectations were low. Low-ish... I love C&P and frankly didn't see the point in a body version! I didn't know what it could offer that a scrub couldn't.
But that was a year or so ago...
Since then I've started baking a baby, and body skin care has become extremely important to me, (Goddess of stretch marks, I beseech you, be kind!!!), and as such I'm investing significantly more time and money in making sure my skin is in hip-hop condition. However, my skin is feeling a lot more sensitive these days, so scrubs aren't the best... And I don't know about you, but all my body scrubs leave a greasy residue in the bath... I really don't want to be slippy-slippering right now, while I'm unbalanced and front-heavy.
So, in for a penny, in for a pound (or - *cough* - forty) I tried this and the balm. This I applied all over, the balm just my pregnancy-safe zones (arms and legs; Mama mio is taking care of those other bits right now).
I'd already shaved (wrong way round, I know, but I wanted to see the effect unadulterated!), so I turned the shower off, pushed the excess water off my limbs, squeezed a little bit out (I was stingey... I wanted to see how far it would stretch). I'd say I used about the came for each leg as I would conditioner for my hair.
It goes on like a sudsy cream; beautifully. The consistency is very reminiscent of C&P. If you've used the face version, you'll be at home. So after that came the mitt...
I'd seen criticism the mitt is too small; no one would accuse me of having dainty hands, but they're not big either. Slap bang average (according to the Hollywood walk of fame, same as Robert Downey Junior; I have the hand size of a small statuted man!). And I liked the size. I couldn't decide thumb in or out, but having the mitt snug on my hand let me apply even pressure rubbing it... I treated it like a body brush, brushing towards the heart. It wasn't very abrasive, but really did slow off the dead bits.
The wash rinsed off like a charm, ready for the balm.
I'm totally sold, and will be repurchasing!

This is a lovely product, however this is the second tube I have had and both tubes have split at the side making it difficult to squeeze the product out.

Best of the best!
Use Liz Earle products regularly and always a quality product. It simple terms -"it does what it says on the can". Cleansing is first class and extremely gentle on the skin. The appliance mitt is equally good quality and does the job intended perfectly. Could wax lyrical all night but in simplistic terms a first class product with the environment uppermost given the packaging products arrives. Would thoroughly recommend ALL Liz Earle products.

My skin is the best it’s been for years!
Like me, you may wonder why to buy something extra to ‘Liz Earle’ body wash. Well, I had this as a gift and have been blown away by the quality and feel of my skin - and yes it does last for 2 days!
I smooth the cleanser into wet skin, then whisk with the mit. There is a kind of creamy foam, which is rich and helps the mit do it’s job. You don’t need much. The mit doesn’t work as well using other products by the way, so use together.
Then use the ‘body balm’ afterwards for best effect. Fabulous combo.
I didn’t think my skin could be this good!
This pairing is the best since ‘cleanse & polish’.

Creamy and Nourishing
I received the Eucalyptus & Cardamom Cleanse and Polish Body for christmas and was rather excited as I have wanted to try it for a while.
I have been using it for the past week and I really like the texture, it is creamy and nourishing and it leaves my skin feeling like silk.
I also like the scent but wish it was slightly stronger as it doesn't seem to last after I shower, which is a shame as it is lovely.
Unfortunately, I didn't like the mitt. It didn't feel like it was exfoliating my skin, so the next time I used the Cleanse and Polish I decided to use an exfoliating mitt I already have and found that works better.
Overall it is a great product, one which I will definitely recommend to friends and family and which I will also purchase once this one is empty.

My new obsession!
I love this product, I use it before I shave my legs and it has made such a difference. The shave feels a lot smoother, the regrowth appears to be a lot slower and no red marks or bumps afterwards. It has a lovely subtle scent too!
This product has now become a staple part of my bathing routine.

This is brilliant to use especially with the mitt this has left my skin feeling soft to the touch and leaves it smelling vibrant and fresh you don't need to use a lot of the cleanser as a little goes a long long way it leaves you feeling totally refreshed and relaxed.

My saviour for dry legs
I have always had very dry skin on my legs and have tried various products to solve this over the years particularly in the summer when I have wanted to apply self tan. Using this product regularly followed by the body balm has been my saviour. I use both in the morning and apply self tan in the evening before bed and it’s the best my legs have ever looked. Would thoroughly recommend for lovely smooth and soft skin and great for preparing legs for self tan in particular.

Wonderful on the skin
Noticeable difference in my skin. No longer dry and flaky. Nice rich cream which also smells great. My only negative is that the mitt is far too small for my hands. Hopefully you will have larger ones soon.

Poor quality
So disappointed with this product. The first bottle I bought had a lovely thick texture. The second bottle I bought (direct from
Liz Earle website) was as thin as water, didn’t lather up, I might aswell have just used the mitt and water alone. Clearly no quality control to have the same product so different a couple of months apart. I feel really let down and like I’ve wasted my money when I’d have had better results from a £1 body wash and flannel.

Saw it advertised on QVC and didn't think much of it. However, i was feeling a bit low, bought it and decided to have a pre bed Liz Earle pamper. It was just what i needed. The texture and smell are nice and earthy which seem to ignite my happy senses. They make me feel alive but relaxed and my skin texture has really improved. Love a good buff with this atleast twice a week . Great for getting the rough skin off. Plus,because its such a unisex smell my husband often helps himself to this so have bought more.

Very disappointed
I have always used Liz Earle products ,especially love the orange flower body wash ,this was brought for me as a gift, the smell is unpleasant , the mitt is far too small , and the product literally slides off before you can buff it into the skin . As far as moisturising goes........ it didn’t .
Never had to complain about a LE product before. Very disappointed customer .

I'm a little perturbed by the preservative you use in this. Is there nothing less toxic? I love your stuff but this is a concern. Are there any plans to change it? Thanks

Safe, effective products are our priority and some of our formulations are preservative free, however, we do use preservatives when absolutely essential for product safety. We use relatively low concentrations of the highest grade, broad-spectrum preservatives. All our products are assessed and approved by independent safety experts, prior to launch, to ensure they are suitable for the intended use.
We can confirm that there are currently no plans to change the formulation of our Cleanse & Polish Body.

Has this changed? I loved the tiny beads in the body cleanse and polish ive always bought but this is almost like a liquid free from beads?
The last one I bought didn't have the beads I just thought it had been changed! Still nice but didn't have the same clean feel to it! I havnt bought it since. Still smells fresh

Can this be used on the face the body cleaner and mit
I would suggest it’s only used on the body as probably a little too abrasive for the face the special facial exfoliators would be better for face which I use once a week and cleanse and polish the rest of the time
