This light, non-oily herbal formula is powered by eyebright extract – renowned for its soothing properties - as well as cooling cornflower, hydrating aloe vera and toning witch hazel.

ALOE VERA
(Aloe barbadensis)
Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.
CORNFLOWER EXTRACT
(Centaurea cyanus)
Used for its soothing and cooling properties, we source our cornflower from Europe, where we extract our ingredient from the rich blue flowers of the plant.
EYEBRIGHT EXTRACT
(Euphrasia officinalis)
Legendary for its soothing and refreshing properties, and rich in tannins, flavonoids and glycosides, our eyebright is harvested in Bulgaria, where the aerial parts of the plant are macerated in water for 7 days to create our extract.
WITCH HAZEL WATER
(Hamamelis virginiana)
Legendary for its soothing and toning properties, witch hazel is native to the eastern coast of North America, and our witch hazel water is distilled from the chopped, macerated leaves of the flowering shrub.

Best eye product
I use this every morning. I have had puffy eyes since I was allergic to the covid jab. It helps. I had a burst blood vessel and this helped sooth it. It also helps my itchy hayfever eyes.

My new favourite

Perfect product for sensitive eyes

New fragrance. Not pleasant.
I was told that this product was the same as a sample bottle I had and that just the packaging had changed. The smell is horrible, it is not the same as all. I won't be buying it again. I'm looking for an alternative.

The soothing multi-tasker
I have reviewed this product before and it is still my must have eye product. I have ultra sensitive eyes and use this morning and evening . In the morning it wakes my eyes up and refreshes them , in the evening I use it to remove eye makeup . Sometimes I soak cotton pads with it and use it like an eye mask if my eyes are itchy or sore. It’s so soothing and cool and really helps. A really good product and I make sure Ive always got one ‘in stock’

Perfect for dry eye conditions
I suffer from very dry eyes and so I use Eyebright twice a day. At night I put a little on 2 re-useable eye pads and just lie for a few mins with them over my eyes. In the morning I use them to refresh my eyes after the evenings dehydration has taken its toll. Really lovely product.

It's back!
Thank god you've brought this life saver of a product back. My eyes are unbearably sore and itchy from hayfever for months every summer and this is the best at soothing them throughout the day. Last summer was miserable without it. This year I wake up knowing that relief is at hand.
It's also great at removing eye makeup without making my eyes sore. As I said, so pleased it has been brought back.

Very good product think it should come with a spray cap you only need a small amount . I transfer it into a spray container and spray it direct on to my eyelids so soothing. Highly recommend.

Perfect for perking up eyes in the morning and soothing tired eyes in the evening. Eyebright reduces/eliminates the redness I get from working long hours in front of a screen. So glad it is back in its original formula and twist up bottle, I make sure I always have a spare and never run out.

This has burnt my under eyes what do I do??
Perhaps your skin is sensitive to one of the ingredients. I haven’t used this product recently as need to order more though I don’t love it as much as I used to - has something changed?

The skin around my eyes is quite red, possibly due to bay fever, when I used Eyebright it stung, not badly but enough not to be relaxing, should I continue using it?
I wouldn't use Eyebright on your eyes if it stung. I had a similar problem and used my Eyebright up as a facial toner.

My skin under my eyes is red and sore and i have sensitive patches on my skin i need help, will this and any moisturiser help me with my problem? Is there any product you can recommend
Eyebright will sooth your eyes, revitalise tired eyes and is wonderful in hayfever season, keep your bottle in the fridge for a cooling refreshing feel to your eyes.
It sounds as though you need a moisturiser that is calming , soothing and hydrates , I would suggest trying skin repair rich cream which offers 72 hours of hydration, locking in moisture, deeply hydrates restoring balance to your skin . Your skin will feel soothed,comforted and will glow with natural radiance. For an extra boost of hydration try adding a few drops of Calming Botanical Drops to your moisturiser for soothing and hydrating, skin will feel calm, soothed and look plumped and replenished. Your skin will thank you for it. Keep it simple and easy, that's what Liz Earle products are all about !!

Hello, I got this as part of a gift set and wondered if applying my usual eye cream after using it would be ok or would this be considered a replacement for that?

You would absolutely apply your eye cream after like normal.
I mostly use Eyebright every morning as soon as I wake up to soothe my tired puffy eyes, I absolutely love it and would never be without it now.

Whilst our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser does remove light eye makeup, it has not been tested to remove waterproof makeup. You may find that using our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser as a compress first helps to remove the initial traces of make-up and then you follow with a thorough application of our Cleanse & Polish.

I understand that the packaging has changed, the content surely can’t be the same formula though? I have purchased one full size and two of the smaller size in the new packaging and the product now has no odour. Prior it smelt beautiful

When we changed the packaging of our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser, we also made the decision to move to a more plant-based formulation. However, the naturally active ingredients within the product remain unchanged and are included at the same levels.
Our Eyebright is unfragranced and always has been however, any aromas you get will be the naturally active ingredients.

Why has the colour of the plastic changed on the eyebright bottle? I wear glasses and I cannot differentiate between the toner and eyebright without them. If only it had been left the original colour and I much preferred the old dispensing bottle.
