Working in harmony with our skincare range, this lightweight formula is enriched with avocado and borage seed oils to moisturise and Alaria esculenta extract to leave skin looking revitalised, plus natural source vitamin E.

ALARIA ESCULENTA EXTRACT
This brown algae, sourced in Brittany, is rich in essential fatty acids and sterols, making it an effective skin moisturiser. Also known as winged kelp, it demonstrates anti-elastase activity which results in firmer-feeling skin.
AVOCADO OIL
(Persea gratissima)
Legendary for its healthy fat content and emollient properties, the avocado is native to Central America. To extract the vitamin-rich, skin-nourishing oil, the succulent flesh of the ripe fruit is squeezed.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.

Favourite skin tint
I've tried several brands of tinted moisturiser/BB cream... This is my favourite, it suits my skin tone (I never feel orange) it covers well without feeling heavy, lasts for ages and protects my skin from the sun! What more could I ask ?!

Great coverage for everyday
I have never got on with tinted moisturiser before because I always felt it didn't give enough coverage to be a substitute for makeup - until I tried Liz Earle Skin Tint. I find this so quick and easy to apply with my fingers and it goes on smoothly with absolutely no noticeable tan lines around the jaw or neck. I really like how natural it is whilst smoothing out my complexion. I am pale skinned (I use the fairest shade) and in my late 40s so powders can be a bit too matt and liquid foundations are too much of a faff, plus I can never seem to get the right tone. The only 'extra' thing I have to do is wash my hands after applying but that's really not a big deal as it washes off with ease! Just bought my second tube. Totally recommend.

Light coverage that makes your skin glow
I have been using this product for years and it’s my absolute favourite. I’ve never got on with foundation and have sensitive skin. I love how light and soft this feels on your skin. It makes your skin glow without looking like you’re wearing make up.

Lovely finish on the skin
I am so happy to see this available for purchase as I thought it had been discontinued. This is the best tint I have ever used on my skin. It has the same moisturising and nurturing quality that I associate with other Liz Earle products. I see that others do not rate it as highly as I do, but this makes my skin look dewy and fresh and I have not found another product that can do that as well. I don't like to use foundation on my skin and this is wonderful alternative. My skin feels and looks healthy when I use it. I am very happy to be able to purchase this again.

Read the reviews for this product and it sounded exactly what I needed but it is very aging. Colour was good but it feels tacky on application and has an unpleasant smell (though some may like it). I honestly look a lot older with it on an am not used to skin products doing that. Shows up all imperfections and any minor hairs magnify - I actually feel awful with it on but stuck with it until I can source something else as I need an spf whilst out and about. I usually look young for my age so looking older was not wanted.

Great for my skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product yesterday light and I’m very impressed I have to be very careful what I use because my skin is so sensitive but I went through all the system of putting on cleaner toner eye cream and I did use the light moisturiser before I applied the tint and I’m very impressed like all the products they work very well together thank you

Just as lovely as the previous version
Decided to take the plunge and buy this product after intially being very hesitant ; after reading previous reviews when it was relaunched. Loved the original was my go to daily foundation. Purchased multiple times. Well this is just as great. Gives you a lovely fresh faced dewy complexion. Not at all heavy feeling. Bit of blusher and lip gloss and your ready to go. Glad I bought it.What more can I say :)

I like LE skin care products. I was persuaded to buy this in store. Very disappointed with this product. It's comes out of the tube OK but is heavy when on and difficult to blend, so I end up putting far more on than with comparative products, and I can't get even coverage. I'm developing spots for the first time in years - it has to go into the bin.

Lovely
I ended up ordering 01 after 02 was a bit darker than I liked. I’m sure it will be fine once the summer comes and I have a bit of colour though.
Goes on lovely and feels really nice, stayed looking fresh all day. A little pricey in my opinion but as I don’t use it every day it should last me awhile.

Not Happy
Not at all keen on this new formula. Been using the Signature Foundation 01 Porcelain for years and disappointed to see the change. The Sheer Tint 01 Bare is darker, does not sink into the Superskin moisturiser as well, is harder to use in the tube presentation, and has an unpleasant smell. If the Signature Foundation does not return, I will be looking for a new make of foundation.

Finally met my match!
After years of searching for the perfect colour match for my fair skin, I’ve found it! This product is great for those who don’t want a heavy feel or look of makeup on their skin but still need a good degree of coverage. Only issue is that it doesn’t stay put as well as foundation does. I’m sure it won’t be an issue once we no longer have to wear face masks

Radiant skin
Really struggle to find a tinted moisturiser that is a good match for my skin and doesn't go orange throughout the day or wear off easily. I want to get the coverage without the heavy cakeness of foundation. Is the first time I have eve re-brought a tinted moisturiser because I love it so much, it covers my imperfections and my skin is glowing radiant. Have had lots of comments on how well my skin looks, highly recommend.

No 1 not as good as No 2
I’ve been using Sheer Skin Tint no 2 for some years. I decided to try no 1 as it’s Winter. The cover doesn’t appear so good ....it’s almost invisible, I’ll use it as a base under the No 2 tube is still have & I’ll stick to No 2 in future as it’s really good & suits my skin & complexion.

Long lasting
As previous reviewers mention, the texture is thick and initially feels a little sticky, but once it is on it’s fabulous. I use the lightest shade and wear it over the serum; it gives great coverage for a moisturiser; and really lasts all day. I like it and use it in preference to foundation.

Thank goodness for Liz Earle.
My sister has no immune system whatsoever; hair shampoo, face cream and foundation make her very ill. Luckily, a consultant suggested she tried Liz Earle and Hallelujah!! Sheer Tint has no adverse effects at all and my sister is ecstatic. Thank you.

Glowing natural look
I love this product because it covers skin imperfections and evens the tone, but I feel like my skin can still breath in it. It is weightless, but really effective and you can build it up for more coverage if needed. The finish is very natural, I love it for the day to day.

I bought this last week and I love it! I use this in conjunction with Liz Earle cleanse and polish and skin repair (light). I find that it goes on easily and looks light and flawless! I’m really impressed- a great summer foundation.

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint
I have been using this product ever since it first came onto the market with Liz Earle. It was amazing, made my skin look natural and gorgeously dewy and sun kissed. Then the formula changed and this has ruined what was one of the best tints on the market. It is now much more runny and just isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be. Such a shame when a small company sells out.

Nice product ruined!
I agree with a previous reviewer. This used to be a lovely cream that just glided on with ease to a soft, dewy finish. Perfect for my dry skin. Sadly, a reformulation has put paid to that. It might as well be a completely different product: thick, matte, powdery and impossible to blend into anything other than an unsightly mess. Changing moisturiser doesn't seem to help. Very disappointing and I won't be buying it again. My search for a replacement continues...

the best foundation for an older skin that I have found that stays all day
A light but good matt coverage so it does not look as if you are plastered in foundation. easy to apply with an excellent colour match and the tube lasts me 6 months. I would not start my day without using it.

Please be assured that the decision to retire our Sheet Skin Tint collection is not one taken lightly and comes following a careful review. Unfortunately, we have found that over time our Sheer Skin Tint has been less popular with our customers, and so we are taking the difficult decision to no longer stock these items. We have a lot of love for our products, and much like our customers, we have firm favourites, so we do understand how disappointing it is when one is retired.

How do I know what shade to select for my skin?

Our Sheer Skin Tint is available in three shades. Shade Bare 01 is suited to more alabaster complexions, or those that have fair hair, eyes, or red in their hair. Shade Beige 02 suits slightly warmer skin tones, with slightly yellow undertones and Shade Beach 03 is suited to olive or sun kissed complexions.
