CHICORY
(Cichorium intybus)
Sustainably grown on an organic farm in France, chicory is a natural prebiotic with skin-soothing properties. It has been used as a traditional herbal remedy for both skin and digestive health for hundreds of years.
JOJOBA OIL
(Simmondsia chinensis)
One of the skin’s most naturally compatible oils, jojoba promotes a healthy-looking glow without clogging pores. The jojoba shrub we source is native to the Sonoran Desert in the US, and Patagonian Desert in Argentina.
LUNARIA
(Lunaria annua)
Lunaria oil is naturally rich in skin-compatible fatty acids, and is known to nourish and provide long-lasting hydration. Our lunaria is grown on 2 farms in Lincolnshire & Essex and is recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society for benefitting local insect populations.
FERMENTED OATS
(Avena sativa)
Sustainably grown in Sweden and Finland, the oats we use are specially selected for their higher levels of Beta Glucan, a fibre known to help soothe and improve the appearance of skin. Our oats are fermented to produce a unique strain of Lactobacillus (friendly bacteria).

Gentle cleansing
I have mild rosacea so have to be careful what I use on my face. Most things cause irritation and for a long time the only thing that didn’t cause redness was a mid-price French brand. However, they didn’t have the right ethicsl credentials so I had to look for something else. This cleanser is very gentle, doesn’t irritate my skin or make it feel tight or dry. A little goes a long way: I use it every day to wash my face and the tube is still going a month and a half later. I am delighted to have found a replacement for my previous brand that has the all-important Leaping Bunny accreditation. I would definitely recommend.

Pro Biotic Balancing Milk Cleanser
First time purchase of this cleanser. It cleanses skin without leaving it feeling dry afterwards. Lovely consistency without an overpowering fragrance. I only use it in a morning so have not used it to remove makeup or mascara so cannot comment on how effective it is at removing such.

Amazing product
I brought this a month ago, after being menopausal my usual cleanser had started to cause very dry and cracked skin. I tried various other products before finding this one.
Not only as it cleared my dry skin up completely after 2 weeks, but it's also helped my roseacha. Would definitely recommend, and there was 25% off at the time.

Wonderful Cleanser
This cleanser has calmed my mature, unhappy, reactive, skin wonderfully.
It’s lovely to use, and leaves my face feeling clean, soothed and hydrated. A little goes a long way too, so although its quite expensive, for me it’s become an essential purchase.

Exceeded Expectations.
When two angry itchy red patches suddenly appeared on my cheek and hairline. I felt that an ultra gentle cleanser might help, and it did! This has calmed my skin, and leaves my face feeling clean yet soothed, with a cushioned layer protecting it.

It's ok, really miss the rose and cedrat!
Liz Earle products have changed. Sadly not for the best. This is ok. Used totye odd smell. Use it with the Liz Earle muslin cloth. My skin is very sensitive and fortunately this does not irritated

Simple but effective cleanser
Lovely fragrance free & gentle cleanser especially suited to sensitive skin. It has a wonderful milky texture, is non-drying like many facial washes and therefore does NOT leave my skin feeling tight or stripped of moisture.

Lovely easy texture
Tried this as an alternative to cleanse and polish as skin looking a little tired. It feels light on the skin and you can add as much or little water as you wish. I personally love the subtle aroma it’s slightly oaty but then it would be! I like the way my skin feels after rinsing and patting dry. I never wear make up only sun protection and moisturiser so don’t know about it’s use with this. I usually use this in the morning and cleanse and polish in the evening.

Simple the BEST!
I have been using this product for 2 months and my skin is nearly clear of spots and blemishes. I wash with this morning and night it's soft and simple. I noticed a change in a week! Brilliant cleanser
This is my second tube of the new cleanser. I suffered with maskne the past two years and this has cleared up my spots within a couple of weeks. I like the creams also. Enjoy using a richer night cream before bed. Noticed a difference in my skin straight away!

Very gentle

Mild and refreshing milk cleanser
I am so glad to have found a cleanser that harmonises with my skin so well. It has a really smooth, hydrating feel and makes my skin look and feel glowing. I have very sensitive, dry skin on my face and the probiotic properties do not aggravate my skin at all. This mild and refreshing cleanser is the best I have tried in terms of how it makes my skin look and feel. I would absolutely recommend to anyone, but especially people with very dry and reactive skin like mine.

Soothing cleanser
I’ve really enjoyed using this cleanser, the fragrance is a pleasant natural scent. Its a lovely milky balm cleanser which glides into the skin removing make up and impurities.
It’s great for my slightly sensitive skin. My skin feels soft, smooth and clean after using it.

Simple and natural
This is a natural and simple product which does what it says. Cleans and clears the skin with no nasties. It has no strong fragrance and is very gentle on the skin. It’s a thick milk like texture which feels smooth and cooling on the skin. It doesn’t leave a residue on the skin and works fine before make up. I didn’t irritate or cause me any discomfort. I enjoyed using and so did my skin.

This left me feeling nurtured. How gentle yet effective is this. My skin felt happy afterwards. No drying or tightness. Soft and soothed. I have sensitive skin and this didn't impact it at all. Highly recommended for all skin types. Smells nice but not overpowering. Small amount went far.

Amazing cleanser!
I have been using the Liz Earle Milk Cleanser for a week or so now, it has made my skin feels so smooth and has brightened my complexion. It did not cause any break outs like other skin care brands can cause when you start using a new product.
I would definitely recommend the Milk Cleanser as it makes your skin feel so nice.

This cleanser is a pleasure to use. I have quite dry skin and this made it feel moisturised without looking oily. After a few days of using this my skin felt significantly better. It didn’t break me out either which is always great. Overall a lovely cleanser.

I just love this pro biotic balancing milk cleanser , since using this cleanser my skin is amazing. It’s smooth when applying and has made my skin so soft , I haven’t needed to use a moisturiser after using this product . it’s not greasy , I also use to take my make up off and my skin feels so refreshed after , my skin overall looks so much better . Skin feels amazing!
My skin is very dry but oily in ny tzone. Its hard to find a cleanser that works without overpowering my skin and causing a reaction. This has got ro be one of the best cleansers ive tried. Easy to apply over the skin. I feel it cleans it really well and felt soothed after. My skin looks healthier and blemishes have minimised and look less red. Highly reccomend

Can I apply this and remove it with cotton pads only? Water irrates my face :(

We would recommend removing our Pro-Biotic Balancing Milk Cleanser with warm water. Alternatively, this can be removed by soaking a cotton pad in water and gently removing this from the skin. This will not be removed effectively if you use a dry cotton pad.

Can this cleanser be removed with toner rather than rinsing with warm water, as i feel you need a spotless sink and towel, also I find water very drying. I have ordered it anyway with the toner

Is this cleanser suitable for oily skin?

When we formulated our Pro-Biotic Range, we had those with quite reactive or sensitive skin types in mind. However, these products are suitable for all skin types. This cleanser will effortlessly remove impurities and make up, effectively cleansing without stripping skin`s goodness. Protecting and strengthening skin`s moisture barrier for visibly healthier skin.
All our formulations are made as mild and gentle as possible, so our products can be used by those with even the most sensitive skin. However, as everyone's skin is so very different, what may be suitable for some, may not be suitable for others - so we always stress the importance of patch testing.

Do the hot cloth cleansers or toner contain linalool either in pure state or as part of plant oil?

My daughter is 10yrs old suffers with eczema and has spots on her face would this product be suitable??
Personally I think it would be fine. I’ve found this to be a very gentle cleanser. It doesn’t strip my skin or make it dry and I have very sensitive skin. Whilst it may not cure your daughter’s eczema, it could calm it. All good wishes for it to settle down.

Is this any good for rosacea?

We would always recommend that if you have a specific concern such as rosacea you talk to your Doctor or Dermatologist, however, the range has also been tested on, and found to be suitable for rosacea-prone skin.
