ALARIA ESCULENTA EXTRACT
This brown algae, sourced in Brittany, is rich in essential fatty acids and sterols, making it an effective skin moisturiser. Also known as winged kelp, it demonstrates anti-elastase activity which results in firmer-feeling skin.
DRAGON'S BLOOD EXTRACT
(Croton lechleri)
Sustainably sourced from Peru, dragon’s blood extract is rich in proanthocyanidins, which act as antioxidants, and a biologically active alkaloid called taspine, which is known to help barrier function properties.
POMEGRANATE FLOWER OIL
(Punica granatum)
With strong antioxidant and firming properties, we source our pomegranate flowers from India, where they are harvested by hand in May and June before the extract is produced by macerating the flowers.
ARGAN OIL
(Argania spinosa)
Renowned for its intensely nourishing and hydrating properties, argan is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E. Native to Morocco, our oil is extracted by pressing the sun-dried, roasted and ground kernels of the plum-sized fruit.

Dreadful packaging
The product is OK, although I find it very sticky. It is difficult to apply - if you put it on your fingers first they get really sticky as absolutely loads comes out which is wasteful. If you apply it directly to your lips it goes in your mouth. The previous packaging was absolutely perfect - I don't understand why it was changed!

Okay
Just received my first tube of the new lip balm. It does make my lips comfortable but the taste and smell isn't very nice. Also, when I squeeze a little out the product continues to come out after I stopped. Gonna waste a lot and end up with a very messy lid. Need to change this packaging.

Love the product, hate the new applicator
I have used this lip balm for a few years as it is the only thing that consistently keeps my lip moisturised. The product lasts a long time, however I hate the new tube applicator as it is incredibly wasteful and difficult to apply - I don’t think the product will last anywhere near as long as a result. Since this product change, I think it is overpriced as I don’t find the lip balm easy to apply any more. The only good thing about this change is that the tube appears to be recyclable - please just fix the applicator!

New package terrible
I’m so disappointed with the new packaging,you have to use your fingers now to apply which in these times is not ideal!! Plus for me it isn’t pocket friendly anymore either!! I’ve no idea what’s going on with liz Earle in the last few years but it isn’t for the better,changing things and not for the better :(

Best lip balm
One of my desert island beauty picks! This is so hydrating and long-lasting on the lips, gives a lovely glossy finish too. When I was taking strong medication which dried out my skin, especially my lips, this was the only product that stopped them chapping. Can't be without it now.

Got this in a gift set and wouldn't buy it. It's okay to use overnight as a lip treatment but terrible for everyday use, it's not a pleasant product to wear it's like glue so use it very sparingly! If it's windy be prepared to be peeling your hair off your lips!

The worst lip balm I’ve ever used
I found this lip balm soooo thick and sticky, so much so I found it painful to drag across lightly chapped lips. It smells awful too.

Love this!
Just received this lip balm and am in love! Used the same tinned product on my lips for years and was a little nervous of changing but am so pleased I gave this a try! No going back, lips feel really moisturised and a nice shine without the greasy or sticky feeling! Highly recommended

Excellent for dry cracked lips.
My lips were dry and cracked. After using this for a couple of days, they were looking nourished, and my lips are totally hydrated. I put mine on before going to bed, and in the morning you definitely notice how great your lips feel and look. Highly recommend.

Really disappointing
Hoped for wonders for something 16 times the price of my usual Chapstick.
Sadly was bitterly disappointed. Hate the smell, difficult to squeeze and apply and leaves round my lips red without doing much for sore dry edges of my lips.

I would normally buy lip balms costing £3-£4 but I was recommended this by a friend. I’m so glad I tried it.
It nourishes my lips whilst also leaving a gloss on them feeling like I don’t need both things.

Cracked lips problem resolved!
Initially wasn’t sure as found the balm incredibly thick & difficult to squeeze out of the tube.
The consistency of the balm is very thick & completely different to any other lip balm I’ve used.
However, applied last thing at night you will have soft lips throughout the following day without the need to reapply. Am really impressed.

Pleased and Disappointed
The superskin lip balm itself is great and certainly works. Lips feel very well moisturised and it lasts. Texture is really thick and at first thought the nozzle was blocked. You have to exert a fair bit of pressure to get any out, or sometimes too much! I do cringe that the tube will split.

Great lip balm!
I bought this at full price, a lot more than I would usually spend on a lip balm but have used other Liz Earle products and always been pleased. I wasn’t disappointed, nice smooth balm, hardly any smell to it, no taste, feel like it did slightly plump my lips.... it does what it says on the tube, think it’s more of a protect than cure for chapped lips though.

Waste of money.
I love Liz Earle and use a lot of their products daily. I bought this product to treat a mild case of weather-related chapped lips. It smells off and tastes disgusting. Very disappointed - it’s not up to the usual Liz Earle standard and a waste of money as I’ve thrown it away.

Liz Earle lip balm is AMAZING !!
Liz Earle is my favourite favourite brand. I’ve been using it for 5 years and It changed my skin completely. My skin looks exceptionally clean, hydrated, healthy and all wrinkles free. I look much younger than my age.

I can’t imagine using other brand beside Liz Earle. It does what it says , and the good thing about Liz Earle is it natural and has many varieties from hair, body, lips, eyes everything.
The lip balm is again amazing. It makes my lips hydrated and moisturised whole day. And it has neuroli, which is great.
Now my lips don’t dry, like it used to before!

Terrible
Disappointed in this. I have used the 3 step routine for 10 years so am a believer in Liz Earle.This made my lips dry and peeling. I thought it was just Winter but, after going back to my regular lip balm, knew it was this. Perhaps just some ingredients disagreed with me? Anyway, a no from me.

This product is worth a try.
I am now on my second tube of lip balm and to be honest I didn’t like it at all when I first tried it, it felt very ‘sticky’ when I put it on, but, I persevered and now I’m a big fan. The sticky feeling disappears as soon as you apply lipstick and my lips feel great, especially in the winter months. I am prone to cold sores on my lips but whilst I’ve been using this balm, none have appeared, I know it’s not scientific but as it works for me I’m happy to stick with it. A good product IMHO.

It's a good product
The product works.
It makes my lips soft, moisturised and beautifully plump. However, i do not like the smell nor the taste of it and therefore find that I don't use it as often as i would like to. It's such a shame as it really is a good product! I find the price I little high too for a gloss that I can't use often. It does mean it will last a long time though, although will probably mean that I won't use it much and it will go off. Shame!

Wonderful lip balm, feels luxurious and keeps my lips moisturised in the winter months. I also use before bed and it makes my lips wonderfully soft by morning. The only issue I have with this, is it does have an unpleasant taste/smell - which I didn't notice at first, due to having a cold! However, having tried lots of lip balms and not finding anything that I think does the job, I am happy to overlook the smell/taste of this one - as it does the job!!

Can this product be used as an eye cream? I used it by accident on my eyes. Will it have any effect on my eyes?

Our Superskin Superlip Balm has been tested for use on the lips only, and has not been tested for use on the eyes, so we would not recommend using this around the delicate eye area.
