SHEA BUTTER
(Butyrospermum parkii)
Renowned for its excellent emollient properties and ability to help improve the barrier function of the skin, we source our shea butter from West Africa, where the pulp of the fruit is removed to reveal the kernel, which is boiled and dried in the sun before being shelled for pressing.
APRICOT KERNEL OIL
(Prunus armeniaca kernel oil)
Used for its lightweight silky texture, we source our apricot kernel oil from the Mediterranean. We use the fixed oil in our products which is high in essential fatty acids, particularly oleic acid, and vitamins A and E.
BORAGE SEED OIL
(Borago officinalis)
Renowned for its fantastic moisturising properties, we source our borage from England, where the pure, GLA-rich oil is pressed from the shiny, dark brown seeds of the bright blue flower.

Not hydrating!
I really like and use several Liz Earle products so was keen to get a face mask which I thought was a reasonable price. The mask tightens on the face like a more deep cleansing clay type mask. Once rinsed off the tightness was better but the skin in no way felt hydrated and I don’t have particularly dry skin. Had to put a good amount of moisturiser on to compensate. Used three times now and each time has been the same. Really disappointed.

Lovely Product
This has a lovely consistency and works well, maybe a bit too well for me. I have greasy skin so it was a little too rich for me as I did have a break out a couple of days after using it.
Also again does not really have a scent so doesn't feel special treat. I do love things smelling gorgeous when you use them
Will not buy again for my skin but will definitely try other masks.

Disappointing
I asked my husband to get me this mask for Christmas and I couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately, the moment I put the mask on, my eyes started to sting and my face tingle. I had to wash it off immediately. The consistency of the mask is lovely but I'm guessing it's the added parfum that has caused the severe irritation. I'm really disappointed, it could have been a really nice product. I can't even give it to anyone, as none of my friends use parfum in their skincare.

Truly lovely mask!

Perfectly moisturising
I’ve spent years trying to find the right moisturiser for my dry and sensitive skin and I’ve finally found something that works! Along with the Skin Repair Rich Cream, this face mask keeps my skin smooth and hydrated for 24 hours, until I mask again: the longest any moisturiser has worked! Will never fall out of love with it.

This is the most beautiful mask I have ever used. Big statement I know! especially from a self-confessed skin care addict! I have tried all manner of products from every range under the sun over the years but I always return to Liz Earle. I’ve been a devotee for over 20 years. Never stopped using the 3 step C&P routine, but have ‘dabbled’ with other masks and serums - truth is, I don’t know why! Nothing is as good as this! It’s simply delicious to use, subtle aromatic, leaves skin plump and hydrated. Absolutely divine and firmly on my list of staples from now on

Winter has arrived
I have trouble with dry skin at the start of each winter. However, this seems to have solved the problem.
I have used this twice a week and have not had the horrible dry patches on my cheeks as in previous years.
Leaves my skin feeling fresh and well moisturised.

Disappointed
My skin has become extremely dry since lockdown, feels like sandpaper, tried all sorts to put moisture back in to it. I’ve used Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and been very impressed, but unfortunately after using the hydrating cream mask several times following the instructions to a T, it’s not made any difference, so disappointed, had high hopes it would put nourishment back into my parchment skin.

Disappointing
I’m a big fan if Liz Earle and was looking forward to receiving the mask, sadly I was disappointed. My skin has become drier over the past few months and is hoped the mask would help improve this. Found the mask ok and smells quite nice but it didn’t moisturise my skin and it certainly didn’t last 72 hours, barely noticed any difference at all considering the price bracket.

A little tube of moisture
I have eczema and am generally reluctant to use anything apart from L’occitan ... however I was staying elsewhere and had forgotten my normal skin care products .. my hostess produced some Liz Earle products for me to use ... loved the hydrating Cream Mask - so bought it.
Did not affect my eczema and left my skin soft.

I love this!
I have this twice now - once as recommended and once left on overnight and washed off the next morning. The first time i used it I experienced a slight stinging sensation (I do have quite sensitive skin) but had no reaction to it - the results after my 10-15 mins was amazing - my skin felt smooth, hydrated and just amazing. The second time I used it I did not experience any stinging, so the first time was probably my skin having an off and I left it on overnight because I was feeling lazy... I washed it off the next morning and my skin felt lovely again - definitely buying this again

Absorbs quickly into your skin where it's needed most
Smells gorgeous it's really creamy and light and melts into your skin. You feel it working immediately and when you remove it with your cleansing cloth the results are amazing.The next morning my skin still feels plump and hydrated. This is definitely a must have purchase and will be part of my beauty regime.

Favourite Face Mask
Luxurious, creamy and comforting texture, lovely light scent, skin feels soft and supple after use and the next morning. I have oily, acne prone skin and although this was a rich, moisturising mask this did not leave my skin greasy/excess oil or cause breakouts. Decent sized tube for my weekly facial :)

hydrating cream mask
When I saw this cream mask, I was a bit hesitant at first, as I have sensitive skin that flares up now and again, but I thought I would give it a try with it being for sensive skin. I.m so glad I did, as its so softening and soothing and no breakouts., so once this tube finishes I will be purchasing it again.

Once the Hydrating Cream Mask is removed from the skin, we would recommend applying your 'leave on' products, such as a skin tonic, serum and your chosen moisturiser.

Can this mask be used ever night?
If you have very dry skin I’m sure that your skin would appreciate this every night. Personally I find two or three times a week is perfect. Apply a thin layer and leave to soak in.

I have this mask, haven't got round to using it yet... I would like to know can you use it as a moisturiser or only as a mask treatment?

Our Hydrating Cream Mask contains a blend of botanicals that leave skin feeling smooth and nourished. This is designed to be left on the skin for no longer that 10 minutes, so we would not recommend using this as a moisturiser. The thick consistency will also sit on the surface of the skin, as this has not been designed to be absorbed, so not suitable for use as a moisturiser. If you are looking for a moisturiser that will help to boots hydration, you may wish to consider our Skin Repair Hydrating Night Cream. This formulation contains ingredients that help to lock moisture into the skin whilst you sleep.

Can you use the Hydrating cream mask on your hands and does the mask feel warm on your skin when used on the face

This should not feel warn on your skin, if this does, it could mean that the product is unsuitable for you, or has been left on the face for longer than the advised period. Is it best to leave on your skin overnight to do its work or rinse off and tone and moisturise as you would normally do?

As our Hydrating Cream Mask is not an overnight mask, it has not been tested for this purpose, so we would not recommend leaving this on overnight.
However, we do have our CICA Restore Skin Paste which is a nourishing and intensely hydrating overnight mask. The ingredient 'CICA' also helps to improve imperfections whilst you sleep.
