STEVIA EXTRACT
(Stevia rebaudiana)
This naturally active ingredient – sourced from a relative of the chrysanthemum that grows in abundance in France – delivers a retinol-like action helping to minimise the appearance of wrinkles, for younger-looking skin. Traditionally used as a herbal medicine, stevia is renowned for the smoothing, wrinkle-softening power it has on the appearance of skin.
ELDERBERRY EXTRACT
(Sambucus nigra)
Elderberries are a rich source of bioflavonoids, which have antioxidant properties and help to brighten the appearance of skin and improve the look of skin tone. We source ours from Poland, handpicked on land protected to support biodiversity.

Really don't like it
It's not what i was expecting. You need to put a lot on and it dries really quickly so you have to put some more on the places where it didn't reach in time and it has no smell. But if that's what it says on the packet then its just me and i wont be buying it again and i feel it was a waste of money.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and have been using it every day. Absolutely love it! Makes my skin really smooth and reduces the visibility of pores leaving a finish so that I need not use a primer. I have even found I can get away without using my usual light foundation ….. so happy with this product and highly recommend

It’s made a real difference.
I use this along with the moisturiser and am so happy with the difference it’s made. My skin had been quite dry and flakey sometimes but this has really nourished it. It looks a lot better now and make up goes on far more smoothly.

Soothing for sensitive skin
I’ve been using the alt-retinol serum for about 6 weeks. My skin is looking healthier and really suits my sensitive skin. Been using Liz Earle products for a year and my skin is so much better and less sensitive.

Fantastic
I bought this after using the Alt retinol paste 3 times a week for a month with great results. i use it as a booster in the morning (under superskin moisturiser) and night. The results are visible! my pores have reduced and my & deeper wrinkles have definitely improved, it's very lightweight and absorbed straight away by my skin. it's yet another can't do without product from Liz Earle....Thank you xxx

So so impressed with how quickly this worked on my skin, I have a mottled dark patch on my forehead and it started to fade within a week of use, fine lines around my eyes have smoothed too. Definitely another Liz Earle product added to my routine. Highly recommend Thank you Liz Earle x

Great for fine lines!
I gave this to my mum and she's noticed a difference in some of her finer wrinkle lines. She prefers this to other products which boast similar effects that she has tried previously due to the lightweight nature. The only reason this isn't a 5 star is that she hasn't noticed much difference in the deeper lines however this many improve with further use.

Sadly not for me.
I'm glad I tried this, wasn't sure if it would be too much for my sensitive skin but hoped it would be ok as it says its gentle and ok for skintypes such as mine. Unfortunately it aggravated a tiny patch of dermatitis that I have and my nose got very dry. I feel like it would be great for hardier less sensitive skins. I love that it was fragrance free though, as I prefer skincare without and feel it doesn't suit my skin- for example the new skin repair is way too fragrance for me and really irritates my skin. I hope Liz Earle stop putting so much fragrance in the skincare, whether it's natural or not, as its not all beneficial- some people enjoy it and their skin doesn't react but I can't be the only only whose skin doesn't like it.

Lovely retinol product

Feel good product.
I’ve introduced the alt retinol drops to my daily routine and I must admit, it has made a difference in my skin. I use a drop mixed with my moisturiser in the morning, followed by the spf tinted moisturiser - my skin has improved in terms of smoothness and has evened out my complexion, which has made me happy. Has no smell to it and it’s very fast absorbing

Signs of improvement

The product goes onto the skin nicely and absorbs quickly. In terms of results, I'm starting to see signs of improvement with the wrinkles around my eyes. Lovely feel and texture
Tried this as other retinol products are harsh on my skin and I always break out in dry patches after. This product did not disappoint, lovely and smooth and rich. Made my skin feel lovely and its great and versatile that it can be used directly on skin or mixed with moisturer. I will continue using this and hope results live up to my initial thoughts.

Did nothing for me

It does smell lovely though and is really easy to apply with the dropper.

Nice formula
Nice product, I have used similar and this one is the lightest on my skin - not at all oily or heavy. I have been using it for a couple of weeks, mostly mixed into my moisturiser and I think its making a slight different to my fine lines. Overall I like it and will use it all for sure.

A treat
I have used this for about a month every day along with the paste which I use alternate nights. At first I thought it would make no difference, but now, although the little lines on my cheeks are still there they are not so evident and my cheeks feel and look pumper. Its a gorgeous product and I feel pampered.

I’ve mixed the Alt-Retinol Booster with Revitalise & Glow over summer but now want to incorporate the Superskin Face Serum into my routine. Can I mix the booster with the serum, or do I need to stick to mixing it with moisturiser?

Does the retinol booster/paste help with acne or acne scarring?
Hello, thank you for getting in touch. Our Superskin Alt-Retinol products have not been designed to help with pigmentation or scarring, and instead to help with lines, wrinkles and refine pores.
It may help to know that Rosehip Oil has visibly regenerative properties. It’s the most effective plant oil for skin repair and restoration. Clinical studies have proven its ability to soften scars, reduce 'age' pigmentation spots and patches and improve the appearance of fine surface lines. You may wish to use our Superskin concentrate for Night 2-3 times a week. This is 100% pure plant oils and is a rich, restoring night-time treat for all skin types. It contains softening argan and rosehip oils, soothing neroli, lavender and chamomile essential oils plus antioxidant natural source Vitamin E. Would I use the Alt-Retinol Booster before or instead of my usual skin oil (I use oils in preference to moisturisers)?

Our Superskin Alt-Retinol Boosters are ideal for anyone who is looking to refine the look of pores, looking for supple and refreshed skin and reduce signs of ageing such as lines and wrinkles. Many oils are great for hydrating the skin, so we would recommend using them both alongside each other. The Boosters are water based and have been designed to use before your moisturiser or to be mixed with it. We would recommend using the booster before your current oil you are using rather than mixing them due to the textures not blending as good as a cream-based product.
